Realtors pretty regularly don't give a shit about following the rules.

Once past 15-20 feet you can't hear my Mini 3 Pro IMO.

I presume I'd need to be near it to take off/land/learn to fly the thing. Every time I've seen one I can hear the terrible noise it makes up to probably 100ft away, but I have no clue what model they are.

Technically you have to keep VLOS (visual line of sight) but that's absolutely BS when something the size of a RC car is a couple kilometers away from you. Maybe if you have Superman's eyesight lmao.

As for take off and landing, you can set it down, walk far far away and still control it. As long as you have signal you're good to go.

how do realtors keep doing flying shots in metro van

I saw one and dropped my pants walked around in my backyard, too bad it didn't show up in the listing pics :(

Depending on where in YVR you are, but they are most likely breaking the rules.

If you draw a line from North to South from Metrotown down to US border, anything west of that line is no-fly zone. Most of Abbotsford is gone as well as Langley.

The only city in greater Van that you could most likely fly is Surrey and White Rock.

Switch the drone size to Micro (<250g) and it's allowed. Anything over 250g and it's restricted.

NRC is just federal rules. Provincial and municipal rules still apply.
