My uncle just got fibre installed to his house in Rural Cowichan Bay. The install was so fucking ugly it was embarrassing. They mounted all the crap to the wall in the Garage, loops of extra cable just hanging, just tie saddled to the wall. It's going to get dirty as fuck, because you know it's a garage. They were even too lazy to properly mount the power bar using it's mounting holes, they just zip tied it with a saddle.
This is why when a year ago the guy came to my door saying they were installing fibre I said no thanks.
If they want to install it it's coming down in a service conduit into my basement then through the joists and up the wall into a keystone in my office. Nice and hidden like. None of this fucking screw your shit the outside of my walls.
Shaw has been pretty solid for me for the last 17 years, and I'm only on the "50mbs" play, which I've never had an issue with speeds, even with everyone in the house simultaneously streaming.

I hate flying. So much so that I’ve actively looked into getting a private airplane and it’s significantly cheaper than ya think. To own a private plane costs about 2500 a month for the plane and storage. Talking a little Cessna not some g7 jet.
Only problem is a little Cessna is a piece of shit and won’t take you very far | The cost is not the plane - it is the hangar space, yearly annual, and other costs ($300 burgers to keep your flying hours current).
Much like a boat, a plane is a hole in the sky that you pour money into.
Better off renting one whenever you need to fly to keep your hours IMO.
Also GA has a very high fatality rate.

I'd like to get a lot more, but can't really find an artist I want in Van that is still taking new clients. Last artist I got worked on is out of Canmore and she did a few guest spots here to do my sleeve. I'd travel to see her again but big time commitment.
