OMG TOYS! spy balloon went to this Yummy Yummy place in parkerplace and got me this fried chicken leg. 5 bucks!
it was good. not super greasy, skin was crispy and not too much batter. One of the best fried chicken legs around. Cantonese style, so it tastes more like wind and sand chicken leg.
i dont know how to describe it.. its like 5 spice? but like a lighter version of 5 spice. The white pepper smell is quite prevalent. Either way its good! try it. YOU BETTER TRY IT MIKEY CUZ otherwise we cant produce Rush Hour 5. The CHING CHONG vs Loud Music / revenge of the whitey.

It is my absolute favourite as far as wings go, and nobody does it better than Wo Fung. The ginger flavour, in particular, is really, really good. Or at least, it is something I really, really like LOL~
IMO their other food is only special to people growing up eating that food though. So maybe you won't like those.

Why is it that anytime Chinese people are saying how good the food is, it's by saying all the things that it's not?
Ohh not too sweet, not so sour. Full of flavor... but not too much!!! Just right.

Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

Wo Fung does it better than anyone. I love those wings too.
Doesn't anyone have a recipe for the seasoning that's used for these wings?
Edit: I see the vid that Hobz posted shows one version of it - I'm guessing Wo Fung includes ginger powder in it. I may try to make it myself tomorrow using my Vortex on my kettle (https://howtobbqright.com/2018/02/22...xchickenwings/)
At 5 bucks for the whole leg and thigh, I don’t think it’s worth your time and energy to make it yourself. That’s my reasoning for eating out like 90% of all my meals.

No I've had HK style chicken, and I like it, my current and last GF were both half Chinese
I'm just laughing that it's actually called wind and sand chicken, is that simply a result of the lack of English words to translate its naming properly? What the fuck is wind and sand flavor?!
Shanghainese people are the WORST always backhanded compliments…. “Don’t be too pretty okay?” “Don’t be too smart okay?” Like directly telling someone good or nice things with zero ambiguity will burn their soul or something

Man I still miss the OG place though, even though Wo Fung takes all the glory all the OG's who grew up with the old Aberdeen know where it was it. Sadly after Aberdeen and their long low key run at Admiralty Centre it came to an end.
