The absolute rock bottom price won't be good for anything. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. But Chinese company are coming with a lot of innovation in a lot of tools. I do some vid shooting at my business and I used to lug some COB lightings that are size of bricks and used a little carrier to lug them around. The newest 120w light that I got is the size of my palm... well, slightly bigger but that's roughly the size and thickness. It even does full RGB and for a fraction on what I paid for my old lights. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/08...cfdbebb4f1.png |
I got tired of shitty AAA battery headlamps, they all lose brightness and drain batteries so quickly. So I bucked up for the Fenix HP25R with the big 21700 cell. The thing is fantastic, crawling around in my attic for hours while I was running new wiring and the thing never dimmed one bit, even on the high setting. Good shit, Very impressed. |
any good Temu headlamps? lol I wouldn't mind one for when I occasionally work on the cars. Hoping to not fry my forehead, thanks in advance. |

whatever you buy, i always recommend headlamps with removable batteries. built in batteries are pretty much only good for occasional non essential use around the house. if you're camping or hiking, you definitely want something with removable batteries so you can bring spares. |
Another shitty thing I bought off Temu was this "plastic buffer jelly", supposedly smooths out those white micro scratches you get on plastic in the car, of course it didn't work. Anyone know a good way to buff out the little scratches on piano black plastic, and over the gauge cluster? I swear Mazda uses the cheapest plastics available. I was cleaning my gauge cluster with a microfiber towel and now it's covered in all these little white scratches, it's driving me nuts. |
I have the same issues and while I haven't looked into this in detail, I remember watching a video from Europe where they used little mini polishers like this one for those types of surfaces. Hand polishing may not cut it. https://www.amazon.ca/BATOCA-Polishi...dp/B0DB5K1PXG/ Edit - this one. https://youtu.be/PU5orW-mtVs?si=XwCD7M4zGPC_d7vu&t=1191 |

Yeah, I was going to say, probably need to buff it out. I don't know how else you would repair it unless you're willing to vinyl wrap it. |

I'll try that Poly Watch stuff. Apparently this is an issue raised by Mazda drivers, I've never seen scratches like that caused by a simple wiping with a microfiber. Seems like a bloody sneeze can cause a scratch on Mazda plastics. |
Using glossy plastic in a spot that will ever get touched at all is just retarded |
For any flashlights I've been a fan of olight products. Light output matches the claimed output, they're solidly made. Wait for their monthly.sales before buying though. |
Olight is so pricey. I browsed the site during BF sale and still seemed expensive. My Milwaukee pen light died. AAA battery leaked and it still won't work after I tried to clean it. |
Had to share this |
just luck |
Sky fucker fucks again. For those not into basketball, that's his nickname in Chinese apparently. |
It's not luck, he's been seen doing these shots too many times before games during his many years in the league to be just luck. You can google and see all the full court shots Steph makes. The guy is like a physics scientist, he has this innate ability to calculate the perfect vector and throwing motion to land these shots. The man is a mutant. |

Looking for suggestions for a birthday party - I turn 50 in Jan and am rounding up my friends for a get together. The fallback is some sit down at a nice restaurant but I'd rather do something a bit more social or fun. My favourite hangout back in the day was Shebeen's, the in the back whiskey shop that the Irish Heather ran but that's long gone now - is there anything like Shebeen's anymore? Renting a few sheets of curling ice is an option - Marpole has openings. No escape rooms, no karaoke bars, no arcade bullshit. Something not too loud, something relaxed, somewhere that's easy to socialize for a bunch of 40-somethings (I am the first of my circle to turn 50). Location around Van/Burnaby/NW. Suggestions? |
