Would that rating improve, if you owned an Elon-bot who could carry out this exhausting work for you on the daily?

The really inexcusable ones are the corporate recruiters who don't respond. SMH

Totally agree.

It's also because recruiters get paid by the employer, not the job seeker. So they really DGAF about applicants. They only care about the party that is hiring.

hold on.. I was in HR industry and you'll be surprised how many people apply.
Two perspective. Tim Hortons... have job postings for 3 weeks and the owners say the market sucks finding people. Then you got Chick-fil-a who after 7 days, the closed their applications because they got so many people applying.

At my mid career level job, there was simply 150 applications going thru then filtering over 10 guy / girl. That's just one posting and we have over 25 job postings just for North America.

The time needed to just filter thru AND keeping tracking who Chan, Chow, Ma, Cheong, Wong... gosh... all asian programmers all look, sound the same.... after 8 hours of work, you would have gone thru 10 + people and you can't remember who's who let alone respond.

GLOW 02-07-2026 09:57 AM

i'd expect if you got called for an interview or pre-screening they'll let you know if you made it through or not. i wouldn't expect them to reply to the 100+ resumes that applied.

GLOW 02-07-2026 02:09 PM

also i'll add that i think there's diff types of recruiters, in my younger days i would be approached what i thought were 'puppy mill' types that just churn/spam postings and try to set up interviews, mind you this was back in the tech industry and maybe a little different/cold.

these days now i'm a bit older, i find recruiters a little bit more respectful, mind you they're trying to sell me senior positions, some are executive search head hunters. maybe you just get treated differently when you're being asked if you're interested for a director position vs a peon wage slave entry level engineer, who knows.

What Hobz needs is this bird to press a button that will mist the Chia pet for him. Then it'll go from 1/10 activity to 4/10 activity.

I'm not talking about me applying though, this is about the ones that reached out to me, and when I respond, they don't.

bcrdukes 02-07-2026 05:45 PM

yeah, Chia Pet seeds are not for consumption and are cultivated specifically for decorative purposes. lol

donk. 02-07-2026 06:37 PM

Those chia sprouts are probably healthier, than those plaatic fishcake spirals you guys eat out of instant noodles

:derp:

spoon.ek9 02-07-2026 06:40 PM

Weird, everything I've searched online says the opposite but oh well. I could be wrong!

unit 02-07-2026 06:57 PM

im sure the seeds themselves are fine but i wouldnt really trust the 'substrate' they are grown on.

So me and the wife and her cunt bag friend (who dukes call my 2nd wife) went to the keg the other night and i complained to the waiter that my 18oz prime rib wasnt 18oz enough... so they came by and gave me 2 8oz slices for free.

This is why the KEG is epic. i love the keg!! its like the costco of gewilo resturants.
I took both slices home and fed my chihuahua prime rib for a week.

I did give him a monstrous tip of 20% (almost died from chinese heart attack)

Wouldn't the salt be bad for your dog?

red kryptonite 02-07-2026 10:43 PM

id be more concern about the fat than the salt. but he probably cut off the fat and rinse off the salt.

keg is awesome, not the best but never disappoints. i always make a reso and they always ask if we're celebrating anything special. i always answer with bday and 7/10 times they bring a billy miner pie at the end.

whitev70r 02-07-2026 10:49 PM

What did the 3 of you do after dinner? :hotbaby:
