Red is like Christian Bale, he can yoyo up and down 10-20lbs for lawls depending on what he needs to do.

Sometimes hes in festive mode and can eat a whole sui yok, or he goes into lean machine mode and starts FINISHING his wife with fatalities.

spoon.ek9 01-20-2026 09:04 AM

koodos to you on that work ethic but it is for sure not sustainable lol. make sure you're getting enough rest man!

red kryptonite 01-20-2026 04:11 PM

Oh it’s totally unsustainable! I just gotta drop the weight fast and it works.
I was letting my gf train me at her gym but it felt hella beta so I said fuck that shit haha. My method is unsustainable but it shows results fast.

Gerbs 01-21-2026 08:42 AM

I'm a big fan of unsustainable cuts for week 1-3, since most of it is water weight and energy gonna be at the highest.

spoon.ek9 01-21-2026 08:44 AM

Ok, I need to get serious about the food if I want to reach my goals. I am plumping back up again lol. Overall I feel better but I want to see those numbers on the scale go down dammit!

GLOW 01-21-2026 09:07 AM

last couple of days i resisted eating normal meals and just ate a can of salmon and crackers. woke up to 160.x today, maybe i'll keep at it to break back in to 15x again.

spoon.ek9 01-21-2026 10:20 AM

Last night I made my beef brisket and daikon lol. High fat, high calorie and of course you have to eat it with rice. Killer combo but we were of course highly satisfied with the meal.

GLOW 01-21-2026 10:37 AM

i've eaten it without rice before due to carbs, but it's so good with rice.

unit 01-21-2026 10:44 AM

serious question but why do any of these diets if they arent sustainable?
you have a beach vacation you need to look good at or something?

spoon.ek9 01-21-2026 10:46 AM

That's for sure one of my motivations. Knowing that I don't want to look like a fat mofo before going on vacation where you know tons of photos will be taken is pretty important to me lol.

I always thought it was stupid to diet for vacation... but that's cause I don't normally go on vacation or have pictures taken of myself. But goddamn I can't use any of the photos in HK/Japan bc I didn't prepare for this.

spoon.ek9 01-21-2026 01:48 PM

Pics are forever and obviously you shouldn't go back and photoshop yourself to look more presentable lol. I don't foresee any vacations for about 7-10 months so I've got time to slim down gradually. Just feeling better about myself is also good motivation to keep going.

I'm talking
Week 1-3 - > cut 1-1.5% of body weight so 2-3lbs/week (unsustainable part)

Week 4-12 - > back to 0.5-1% of body weight so 0.5-2lbs/week

If you can't do week 4-12, then you're cooked either way :lawl:

Definitely gained back at least 3lbs of muscles, shoulder striations are back

You guys wanna do the pushup challenge? 2000 pushups, 23 days, so 86 push ups/day.

It's to raise awareness for the 2000 lives lost to suicide each day.

How do you lose weight? pile on the stress. My weight is beginning it's nose dive. I was 174 2 weeks ago, I weighed in a 169 this morning at the gym.

Traum 01-22-2026 12:33 PM

I know it's easier said than done, but hang in there and don't let the stress get to you, man! You're still in a very secure position financially, and you will find something as job search continues.

It is also easier to get sick when you are under stress, and you definitely don't want that.

Stress sucks man, makes you eat less, I'm in the same boat, but not because of work :lol

Embrace the fat loss, for me it's perfect timing, right before Mexico :)

Rolled into my 50's this week so it's been Cheat Week all week. Steaks, chops, oysters, BBQ Master, booze. Still chipping away at the birthday cake one 300 calorie slice at a time. Not looking at the scale this week.

Also got a knee x-ray, visited my physio, and had an abdominal ultrasound done (to see if I have the same genetic heart condition that sent my aunt into emergency surgery for 7 hours). 50 baby!

unit 01-22-2026 07:11 PM

happy bday dude!
