its better off if you set a password for your router and in one of your DS games that has wifi play you can go to setup and enter the password. Or you can just enable wireless on your router, dont need DMZ.

Lots of games have multiplayer capability (ie having friends over at your house) but only a few that you can actually play on internet.
Some of these games include: tetris,mario kart, metriod, starfox etc.


Anyone try the GBA game super robot taisen OG that came out earlier this month? Sweet game, been playing it for the last 4 days. Game came out in JAPN in 2002 so graphics arent as great but the gameplay is fun. If you like advance wars, its just like that but with gundam style robots this time. Check it out.

I would say Supercard, it works perfectly, boots faster than the M3 (i'm guessing the g6 too)

Unless you care about the pretty interface. The supercard interface is simple and works well.

Though the supercard doesn't exactly match the white of the ds lite, and only come in black and white as far as i know.

But SC lite is cheap at 50 bucks. MicroSD is about 25 USD from meritline for 512 or 40ish for 1gb :)

WEP and WPA are mutually exclusive. You would select the one that you are using. Or none if you don't have encryption enabled.

Use the one that you have setup in your router's configuration.

WEP is fine, keeps casual hackers from using your network for BT.. or other devious purposes.

WPA is more secure, but the setup is slightly more complex.

Personally, I just use 64bit WEP because there's really no reason to use 128bit, and WPA is not supported by all devices. Plus you can use a telephone number as the hex WEP key too.. :D

After many years of buying all my games from my own little allowance money, I've finally given in. ANYWAYS.

I just ordered the M3 Lite (Micro SD), my first-ever Adapter. The reason I chose over the G6 Lite was because of more compatible the ROMs can hold, rather than me being stuck with the G6.

However, I'm hearing a lot of stories about Firmware freezes on Previous M3s (like the SD / Mini SD ones) and that they could corrupt the entire system... Do you think that the m3 team has fixed these problems? When it comes to installing / adding files / etc., I may screw up... So I was wondering,

For those with the m3 (anykind) and the G6 Lite:
1. Have you faced any technical problems with the device?
2. Does it involve a lot of updating?
3. Will putting files onto the memory card (m3) or Flash Cart (G6) be very easy and simple?

And for the M3 Users:
1. How bad are the slowdowns? Will it affect gameplay? The faster the memory card, the less it will slow down?

It's a little annoying, but if you change location of ROM to supercard (i'm assuming whatever card you have if not supercard also supports this) it will not whitescreen.


What this does is copy the entire ROM to RAM first and then execute it rather than executing in place on the SD.

It does take a while, around 30 seconds to load the ROM but there are no problems whatsoever.

For my SC-Lite, I just patch it with cartridge access or whatever when I send it and it works without white screens. But I got one after leaving WiFi play.

Oh god, spent like 8 bucks on Intec screen protectors, and what a POS.

The top screen is gay, and uses glue or some crap, and has a black border. It actually made me spend 30 minutes removing the sticky residue on the screen after removing it ( because it sucked ) and the bottom screen one has like one long line on one side and is messed up.

Don't buy them, I should've bought the Hori ones, or even better, the ones from Daiso ( I actually threw out one because I was a dumbass and forgot to clean the screen the first time, LOL )

I don't think you really *need* a screen protector for the top. Mainly the bottom screen where you touch.

The top is protected when you close the DS, and when you have it open there's very little chance of you scratching it.

i got a Super card lite the other day and i downloaded a bunch of roms off torrentspy. I load them into my MicroSd and insert it into my Supercard. I press it and it loads..but then my ds screens just go white on me and nothing happens.

i have the chinese version and i have no idea what the menu says. am i missing any steps here? help me out please..

It should have a battery to hold the saves.

This one supposedly fits flush with the same glossy layer as the dust cover.

Not sure about the difficulty in removing the SD card though.

ok guys heres something a little off topic.. so my friend has animal crossing and she brought it over to a party. when she got home, her save was all gone. immediately calls me up and asked who deleted her save game. i said im not sure and as well everyone said that no one deleted it. we then tried to trace back who touched and played with her dslite but everyone was playing tetris download.

so my question is, can a save file just get deleted or get corrupted by itself? i heard animal crossing is known for glitches but does it affect anythin with the save? she got really upset and still is cuz it had lots of sentimental value.

but i know they can corrupt if you pull the cartridge out while playing or pull out the card while loading games on

Okay, just got my Deluxe and Compact and it sits flush in the GBA slot, with a nice glossy layer. It's also easy to take out.

The MicroSD card is also alot easier to take out with ur fingers, ( my MicroSD has one of those edges to pull them out though ).

jesse asked me about this yesterday. i've had save issues with AC too, but i've never had a town just up and disappear on me. after the firmware upgrade (i have the mid-august kernel, i forget the actual date), i haven't had any more save issues.

Not compatible. One i.e is the new Star Wars game. Try using other options. For Starfox, you need to set cartridge access on.

Also, on further inspection, it's not as flush as the dustcover, but just as easy to take out.

www.winsunx.com has the new EZ4 Deluxe and Compact up for buying.

It has alot of potential, and GBA support is the best out there I believe. DS support still needs a bit of working though. Most of the important homebrews like BeUp and Moonshell work, and DSorganize works if you use an older version I believe. (I didn't really get to try it because I don't use it.)

It's not as flush as the Supercard Lite / dust cover, but it's really easy to take out and the MicroSD slot has been worked a bit on, it's much easier to take out now.

So yeah, basically...

DS is most important, GBA not really, homebrews yes sir = Supercard Lite

You want DS and GBA, with a less amount of homebrews and skinnable menu = EZ4Lite.

i think there is a noticeable speed diff between the kingston 1 gig and the sandisk 1 gig....

i dunno if an ultra 2 is the way to go, but i just got a regular 1 gig micro sandisk.

For Supercard Lite, any kind is fine as it uses a different way of sending and receiving data. However, if you use any other flash cart, the Ultra II is the best way to go.

Most of the important homebrews work on EZ4, e.g. MSN (BeUp) and a multimedia player (Moonshell).

Supercard Lite -> More flush, perfect DS speed / support with normal MicroSDs, homebrew support is better, hard to take out, butt ugly menu, GBA speed / support sucks, front loading MicroSD slot and cheaper I think

EZ4Lite Deluxe / Compact -> Less flush (not really noticable), average DS speed / support (but there's lots of potential and it's the second flash cart to support the new Star Wars game :D), perfect GBA speed / support, beautiful skinnable and touch screen interface menu, homebrew support is average, MicroSD is still a bit hard to take out, really easy to take out of the DS, has a glossy layer and a bit more expensive. (unless you get the Deluxe, which has no GBA support).

Yeah, and you can put in your original games (you sorta have to anyways if you want sleep mode unless you do a solder mod of the DS slot).

What you get is:
1. Longer battery life since the NoPass doesn't need to redirect data
2. Autoloading flash cart menu, no need to click on the NoPass in main DS menu
3. Warranty is still there as I am going to be flashing with a undetectable version.
4. If malware from some shady ROMs or homebrews deletes your firmware without me flashing it, your DS is gone, but if it hits it after I flash, it's recoverable by 100% due to the flashing installing an undeletable section of code that alllows for the firmware to be reinstalled.
5. The menu is the same as the original Nintendo DS one, the main difference is that it will boot your flash cart in DS mode automatically.
6. Plus more!

Ohh man, i ordered my Sandisk 1GB Ultra II Micro SD Card today...I'm fed up with revscene people! How come they don't have that memory card!

Oh well, i ordered from NCIX today, so it should come in about 2 weeks time...i can't wait that long!

No slowdowns for Supercard Lites with any speed MicroSD because of the way it sends and recieves data.

Yeah, same with Kingston, but it's the EZ4 that's the bottleneck.

That's why the last update gave a pretty huge speed increase, lol.

this is probably old news to some of you, but i came across nesDS as an NES emulator the DS. runs great, packs as many nes roms as you want into a single gba file, and you can even cheat by rewinding/fast-forwarding the game with L and R. die unexpectedly? just rewind the game. lol

The supercard has built in emulation for nes and gb games .. not too sure about snes, I didn't have any roms to play with.

Maxconsole Forums and M3lite forums all know how to, but whenever they try to tell me, it just doesn't make any sense =\

Can anyone help me stepbystep on how to patch roms and transfer them onto my microSD card?

for patching roms it's pretty straightforward.

Obtain your unpatched ROM
Use patching software for your adapter to patch unpatched ROM.
Copy resulting files to your microSD card.

Your microSD probably comes with a little adapter so you can plug it into a normal SD card slot. You'll need an SD card reader if you don't already have one.

Haha, thanks benny Boy, in fact, patching roms are very easy once you update the M3 and refer to the m3 wiki guide for the roms

Now, I need help with the save files, everytime i boot the m3 up, the game i previously played comes on to the display, and says that it cannnot find the NDS save file (before the main screen), and i did fiddle around with it; everytime i reset, it doesn't save at all, therefore i have to start all over again.

One more thing, could someone send me the latest Moonshell version over?

By the way, I bought them when they were 49 bucks and back at the shady E.36th apartment, and they turned out to be fake. I only got the MicroSD card and the SD adapter. You might want to check if they are in fact fake. If they are fake, you should be able to rub off the writing on the front side of the MicroSD like I was able to.

Also, you can also look at the labels on the MicroSD.

alex rider stormbreaker, clubhouse games, the suite life of zack and cody, also starfox and digdug digging strike. all my other ones seem to work fine. :(

im using the supercard (microcard) one with a superkey on my dslite but when i load the games i just get a white screen. any suggestions?

the software i used is: Super Card V2.56 for SD Version

Try updating firmware, or maybe it simply isn't compatible.

Check the game file that is copied onto your microSD. Does it only have 0bytes? If so, it was probably a bad patch so try it again or the file you downloaded isn't compatible or it's corrupt.

Q: How to enter SELF TEST MODE?
A: Hold L+R and turn on the power. Press A to test every part of SuperCard. If there is a "error" display that your SuperCard broken

Straight from their FAQ. Just keep pressing A and it will go to a screen that tells you what firmware you have.

If you go to the first page of this thread, Benny tells you how to update the firmware. I believe 1.63 is the newest firmware. There is a new release for the Supercard software though. As for the whitescreen, you can try changing the options when you patch. I remember for StarFox Command, I messed around with the settings, like saving to the SuperCard ROM vs Saving to the SD card and it fixed the white screen problem.

no, i played them through my M3, Ouendan is SOO import friendly, and its really fun and addicting. Cooking mama is not soo bad, they're just mini-games just like WarioWare or something, but involves cooking...hey, it makes me hungry all the time ;______; . Finally, FFIII is okay, I need time for me to understand what each and every item/dialogue means...I need a translation guide =\... besides, the US release willl be out shortly, in a month and a half.

Your off topic answer: Probably wii, ps3 is expensive, and i'm leaning towards the innovative side, because the DS has proved itself as more fun compared to the PSP...in my opinion...Ouendan, Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright, Cooking Mama, just blows me away.

BTW I didn't want to preorder a Wii; i'll wait until more good games come out... and the black version...and besides, the DS is taking a LOT of my time right now ^-^....a lot of the good titled games are coming out by the end of this year too ^_^

I went to EB Games at Metro and they aren't taking pre-orders for the Wii. I'm going for the Wii just because I like the thought of not having to buy an adapater and the party games are much better.

well if you are say the first 5 in line to preorder.. you won't be guaranteed one on launch day but rather guaranteed one on the first shipment (ie it got delayed etc)
