how do u get the action replay codes to work on the r4? I add codes for pokemond diamond and put both usrcheat.dat and cheat.dat i d/l from r4 website on _system_. but when i go to the game on the ds no cheat ooption shows up

get a r4 because some new games might not work with supercard.. and r4 has built in cheats which is good for people that want's to cheat... hahaha

and you can skin the r4 interface too

just becareful with the spring on the r4 though because it's cheap and can break pretty easily

Well whenever id run Zelda, id get the black screen with the japanese text, assuming its saying that im running it on an emulation and its illegal blah blah blah..

Sim City DS just tells me it has problems loading a saved game and i have to restart it.

Sorry about the delay guys, we've been out of stock on the R4 for a week or so now. It looks like manufacturing has been stopped, or slowed down, due to unknown reasons.

The 2 best guesses are that they either got busted for piracy (doubtful, since we'd have heard about it) or they are slowing manufacturing to artificially increase the price (more likely, and if this were a legit business they'd be in big shit for it.. but it's China, so...)

Anyway, I can get the R4 now, but for an increased price. My new prices (including shipping) are:

1GB combo: $75 (was $60)
2GB combo: $90 (would have been $75)

If there are stores in Vancouver still selling old stock for the original price, my recommendation is to grab some now. I expect the price to go back down eventually. No idea when, however.

The retail stores in HK are selling the R4 by itself for $500 now ($68 CAD). Also be careful, because fake R4's are sure to show up more now (they've always been around, but if you see one that is still the old price, either the store is selling their old stock, and don't know about the price increase, or it could be a fake)

The official R4DS site (http://www.r4ds.net/) is down too, so who knows wtf is going on.

just bought it in and they exchanged it for a new one

Taiko DS was very rare in HK even when it came out. It will be even moreso now that it has been recalled. I'd forget about buying it for another month or so.

well i would say supercard is pretty stable, they have frequent patch update for games. I'm still using supercard lite, everything still works fine and pefectly and my friends are using supercard dsone, no troubles so far.

i'm confused.... They're trying to push the supercard on you because they can't get the R4 for a good price anymore. I tried the supercard and I hate it, you have to patch every game you want to play. With the R4, just copy the rom file over and it works.

thats for the supercard lite and the patching isn't a hassle at all, takes less then 1min. supercard ds one is just drag and drop same as R4

Regularly, a M3 Simply + 1GB Kingston is selling $65 (checked last time I went in there, a month ago?) and since he knows me he charged me $55.

You could probably get 55 or 60 if you tell him your from Revscene for a 1GB Kingston and 80 for a 2GB.

use the supercard program and cut them.
you'll get 2 files

one of em is .sav

I'm in HK right now and theres a new one by the supercard company called DSOne. It's on their website.
like the R4 but with a more graphic browser menu.

It's 40 bucks canadian without memory card.
Cheaper than R4 because they say no one has demand for it right now.
so far I'm testing it out, seems to work OK but I was never a power user with the supercard. just loaded and played games.
I think theres a display glitch but I'm dowloading a new software patch now to see if it fixes it.

real quick question....

I just got a new wireless n router and I have the security set at WPA2.

My Wii can connect, but my NDSL doesn't, because the NDSL doesn't support WPA. Other than buying a Wi-Fi USB connector, is there any other way of getting wireless access for the NDSL? I do not want to go back to WEP settings, as this new router has a pretty long range.

What pisses me off is I sold the WI-Fi USB connector that came with my Costco NDSL bundle a year and a half ago for cheap.

Anybody know of any firmware updates for the NDSL?

i just bought a dsone card and I'm wondering is there anyway to get back to the game menu (where you choose the games) when you are currently in a game already other than restarting the unit itself? By restarting the unit all the time to choose another game, does it affect the ndsl in anyway? I'm sure nintendo doesn't expect us to turn it on and off all the time.

i'm using the supercard dsone and I was uploading some games and del. some .sav files. Anyways right after i put the dsone card back into the ds and load up, the program doesn't load. Instead on the bottom screen it says " No Find SCFW.SC file! Please Turn off NDS!" Whats wrong with it ? and more importantly anyone know how I can fix it?

hey guys im planning on getting a used white ds lite.. everything is fine and in perfect condition..

asides the color which is now somewhat not as white as a brand new one.. as well as the previous owner placed stickers on parts of the ds making some parts whiter then the other..

my question is that is there any cleaning solutions or wipes that will make it look new or at least one color and near mint again?

hey guys, my supercard and superkey is starting to crap out on me... i have to take out and re-insert the super key constantly sometimes to get it to read the supercard, and sometimes the game would freeze up halfway...

thinking of getting a new set up, what do you guys recommend? everybody seems to be getting the R4, is that the best slot 1 solution out right now? whats so good about it versus say, M3 or that DsONE?

r4 = m3 (or so i'm told by everyone i've asked) i got the m3 because the r4's were sold out. works great for me right now.....no complaints so far. if you research the dsone, you'll find that it takes a bit more time to load vs the m3/r4. and since pricing is pretty much the same, i'd stick with the m3.

Try removing the DS game first, if you have one in there. Also, you can start the DS without any games in it, and set it so it goes to the home page instead of automatically playing a game that is inserted. You may have to do this if you have both a DS and GBA game inserted at once.

R4 doesnt support gba. no slot-1 (ds slot) cartidge supports gba. only the ones like the m3lite support it.

i updated mine to the latest fw but when i start up these two games(and some others) it says " cannot access save file, "please turn off the ds and reinsert game cartridge" something like that.

theres no special settings for r4 like what we had to do for the m3lite is there...?
