Mostly original, unmolested E36 M3 available for sale in a rare and unique colour combo. The Modena leather interior is eye-catching especially contrasted against the Boston Green exterior. The car has stayed in the PNW its entire life and was imported up from Washington State in June 2008 and eventually came into my ownership in Jul 2020 with 108044 miles. Vehicle mileage almost 2 years later now sits at only 108897 miles (~175k km) which means I have hardly driven the vehicle as it is strictly a spring/summer sunny day no work kind of car.

Under my ownership, I've done basic maintenance, added the factory lip that was missing from Lux package vehicles and just recently changed the battery. I also have a stack of service records dating back to 2008. The previous owner had owned the car for more than 12 years but the vehicle was mostly a garage queen as he moved out of the country for work but left the car at his family member's house where he would come back every summer to visit and enjoy the car. It was apparent that the car was very well cared for under his ownership and I have tried to carry that through while I've owned the car although I don't have any records of the annual DIY oil changes I've done.

In less than 2 months, the vehicle is collector plate eligible with a July 1997 production date. Though the car has an aftermarket JVC head-unit, the original BMW stereo is included with the purchase. For collectors eligibility, the original sagging headliner will also need to be addressed as it is 25 years old now and starting to come unglued. A well reviewed upholstery shop in Richmond has quoted me $500 to redo the headliner but I realize that due it being a relatively simple DIY, the next owner may want to address this themselves. Other items that may come up for collectors eligibility is that the headlights, corner lights, and tail lights have been upgraded to the BMW OE Euro equivalents. These can easily be parted out and swapped back to their NA market equivalent if needed, although I've been told that because these are factory Euro items, ICBC will still approve the collectors application.

The car is mechanically solid with no strange rattles, clunks, or grinds. The interior is in excellent shape apart other than some wear on the seat bolsters from getting in/out. The front of the car (hood, bumper, front panel) is not perfect and could benefit from a repaint. There is also a minor scuff on the right front corner of the car on the trim piece that happened under previous ownership.

I am open to reasonable offers but am fully aware that there is no other M3 currently for sale across Canada in this colour combination (or with this interior for that matter). All pictures were taken on May 16, 2022.

A prospective buyer was kind enough to share his Carfax report with me. Unfortunately, it seems that Carfax has falsely flagged this vehicle as having a 'potential odometer rollback' due to the Aircare odometer readings which don't specify whether the mileage is in kilometers or miles. My service records on hand prove that the mileage has not been falsified and it is a clerical error on Carfax's part which I am currently disputing.

I can tell you that the headliner is most definitely not an easy DIY, but that car is not way out of line for price. I'm familiar with the car, and it's actually the car that convinced me to stop looking for an e46 and get an e36 instead almost 10 years ago.

There’s some guy trying to sell his rebuilt RS for 35, saying the “hence the price” lol but you can get nice ones for 5k more.

Sidenote: ICBC needs a better “diminished value” system in place for when cars get big repair bills (not at fault) but the vehicle isn’t written off. 911 with a 50k accident is clearly not worth the same as a clean title one

Fat and heavy, the 2.5L V6 is sad and underpowered, and the DI only injection system means carbon cleaning is mandatory unlike the D4S DI/PI 3.5 V6. The IS250 is a total gas pig too, for not much performance in return.
