I, like everyone else on rs, am constantly searching CL for anything from furniture to vehicles to the free section to jobs to real estate. At least once a day I come across a TERRIBLE ad; whether is to poor grammar, bad pictures, random job requirements, or and ad that is just plain hilarious.

I thought that maybe I would start a thread where we could all post our ridiculous finds in the same fashion as the "cute animal" thread, "where to find" thread, and "no need to start a new thread" thread.

i think theres only one civic in bc with that colour. this car use to be on sale at vancouver top cars ltd with a different front bumper. would always see that ugly pos when driving on kingsway merging to main, vice versa....

Thats right folks, here is your one and only chance to own a 97 Nissan Maxima with only 235,000 Miles! Its just barely broken in! It has some incredibly amazing features, such as: The power windows all work all of the time, except for the RR which works when it wants to. The sunroof is totally awesome, until you try to use it, and then it kinda sucks, so DONT USE IT. The BOSE stereo sounds amazing! Until speakers start cutting in and out, then you wiggle the volume knob, and it sounds a amazing again. Presets 2,4,5 & 6 are usable, 1&3 are not because I don't like odd numbers below 5 so I shot them with a gun like Elvis, who by the way, has *actually driven this Maxima!



The rear spoiler was far too weak for a car this manly, so it broke off. I could have replaced it with another black one like any normal rational person, but instead I chose this amazing, fantastical pearly white one because it's CUSTOM, and the only color I could find when I went to the junkyard.



Although the 97 Maxima was aesthetical perfection, I thought the factory body lines could use some expert "tweaking" so I ran it into a couple of things at low speed. I know, totally Custom.



This car is so manly, and has so much testosterone, that the Antenna is permanently ERECT. Although if you play with it too much, you will go blind, or so my mother tells me.



It has Chrome tint on the two rear door windows, and the back window, and just because I'm such a nice guy, I left the glue on the passenger front window, after the tint fell off. You're welcome. It has heated Leather seats, to pre-heat your cheeks so that your lover doesnt think they are touching a zombie, because then they might chop your head off.



The AC will turn your nipples into Titanium, thanks to a brand new OEM AC Compressor. It used to leak oil from pretty much everywhere, but now it just leaks from almost nowhere. It has a couple new front wheel bearings, because I hear that those are kind of important. It has new mismatched tires, but only because I almost died with bald ones. This Maxima will leave you more satisfied than your last 4 sexual encounters, **guaranteed.

I will leave the box of tissues in the passenger floorboard, because your sexual organs will explode after just one testdrive.



I have tried my best to put into words and pictures, just how awesome this car is, but alas I may have failed. So there is just one more feature I will share with you. I was going to keep it a secret, but I just can't keep it inside anymore. It can fly. Yes, you read correctly. ***IT CAN FLY. Don't believe me huh? Ye of little faith, rest your eyes on THIS!:

The paint itself looks pretty good but Id suggest a respray anyway.
(2)The driver seat seem has come apart about 3 inches long not ripped (2nd pic)so very very fixable.
(3)Missing battery hold down strap so held in place with tie downs.

So thats it, some TLC to the paint and you have one of the coolest and last years of Preludes ever made!

Up for sale or trade is my 1985 Nissan Pick-up truck. It was owned by an older gentleman who rarely drove it so it only has a whopping 126,885 original kms! It's barely even broken in as these trucks can easily go to 400,000 - 500,000 kms. It's a 5 speed, 4 cyl, King cab, in royal blue colour.

Everything runs and drives perfectly. Brakes are good, clutch is good. The truck needs nothing. It even has the original radio and rims. You could get collectors plates on it if you wanted. It's never been in an accident and looks like it's been babied and stored inside it's whole life. I got it to simply go back and forth to work, but now I am in need of a bigger truck with 4x4. So I am open to all trade offers if you have something like that.

The truck also comes with an extra set of 15" chrome rims that aren't in the picture. It rides rougher with them on so I took them off as I prefer a smooth ride.

You may have noticed this little van on Craigslist over the past little while. It is not a lemon. I lent it to my friend because he was down and out, going through a rough time. Well, I guess things were worse than I thought because he had stooped so low as to attempt to sell my van and forge my signature. As he was showing it a cop rolled by and noticed he had it on the street with no insurance so he impounded it. Then the genius let it sit in the tow yard for three weeks and did not tell me about his scumbag manoeuvre. I found out because the tow yard sent me a bill for 450 dollars. Its a great little van. I put new Michelins on it last year, new front callipers and rotors in the front. It has captains seats and the headliner has a compass built in. It has 260,000 km and the engine runs like a top. It shifts great. Where I work bought me a new van thus the reason to get rid of this. No more lending it out to friends. And he is not a friend anymore obviously.

in his defense, it was the wife's car...and he probably has limited time to sell a used car as a busy medical doctor

it was just surprising because when I first spoke to him on the phone he seemed easygoing...then the call to confirm the appointment he changes the tune of his song basically told me to not waste his time if I wasn't going to bring money and decide on the spot. Gave the benefit of the doubt seeing how well-regarded he is in the medical community I still went to see it with deposit, but it sure went downhill fast with his salesman tactics. I knew it was all BS once he suddenly said price is firm and he has 6 others waiting to see it. Ive no problem with ppl being aggressive but if your run-of-the-mill Toyota isn't perfect then there's no such thing as a non-negotiable price....lying and pretending to speak to another seller when a buyer is negotiating...that definitely hit a new low haha.

Rear axle and rear muffler are FWD Audi 90. That's not a quattro.

Early B3 build, it will have the lethargic 130hp NG 5 cylinder engine, one-piece front struts and otherwise be in good shape. No door locks is likely a vacuum leak, presuming they don't work from the passenger door either. The window issues are likely broken wiring at the door hinge, the motors rarely fail.

Oh wait, fails thread not the good buys thread. I'll stop :P
