just bought a pair of sylvania silver stars h4's for my r1. $27 each for the lights. they are suppose to be nice a bright, much better than stock.

L... finally got it renewed, but the new rules suck. I'm gonna book my road test in about 3 weeks. Been a year since i've driven; I dont think it'll be bright to take the test right away.

Speaking of which... I dont have a car to take on the road test that i'm comfortable with. Taking a big gm van with a crappy turning radious isnt my choice of luck.

bluebomber85 03-30-2005 12:35 AM

i took mine in a ford explorer, easy as pie. took the class 5 in my lude, also easy as pie.

2.5FearFactory 03-30-2005 11:14 AM

I took my N in a 1986 Chevy Caprice station wagon...fun times parallel parking. I took my Class 5 in a 1977 Chevy Caprice Classic 4 door....I had my truck at the time too, but it scrapes going into and out of the parking lot where they start/end the tests...didn't think that'd be such a grand idea ;)

on the bottom of every page go to the "Forum Jump" and then "Members' Support Area"...just start a new thread and tell them what you want your name to be. They usually change it w/in a couple hrs or a day max :)

RRxtar 03-30-2005 04:35 PM

i took my N test in a 1992 Cavalier wagon. believe it or not, it was the first time i ever drove an automatic

RedCeli 03-30-2005 06:26 PM

Took my N test in my old sunfire...no probs. Was gonna take it for my class 5 too cuz its automatic...but it broke down in the parking lot and I had to call my dad to bring my celica there. So I walk outside with the ride-along chick (pretty hot), and my dad is out there jumping the sunfire. Glad I took it in my car though cuz I was more used to it than the sunfire, and the standard didn't cause any trouble.

WSODgirlracer 03-30-2005 06:47 PM

i still have to take that stupid test. What are the rules for standard, ie. how high can your rev, how long can your hand be off the wheel to shift, and anything else.

RedCeli 03-30-2005 07:17 PM

I don't know if there's rules about revs...just drive normally. And you can only take your hand off the wheel while you shift...2-3 seconds..or whatever it takes.

that's the main reason I didn't take it in my truck ;) I have my hand on my shifter 95% of the time...the other 5% I'm fiddling w/ the stereo ;)
