Going to try a race this weekend. No real training other than beer drinking so I should be hurtin after the practice laps while the pro riders that are sponsored will just start to sweat. Should be fun breaking stuff and trailing these good riders woot I am pumped. Pics of the carnage if I am not too hurtin

I took a mean gouge out of my left index finger with an angle grinder yesterday. I poured ladies on it to clean out the cut, but now it's going green... Do I have a problem?

got a huge chunk of bodywork done on the beat-hole today. I definately just feet first into this one.

So my first motocross didn't go so good.

To start things off we draw numbers for position on the lineup for the hole shot well I picked the 3rd last number called and got almost the worst spot. I got an excellent hole shot only to hit the first corner on the highside which I intended cuz everybody goes for the inside well 1 of the few bikes ahead of me decided my line was better and slammed on the brakes and cut in front of me.

Well now I am buried into the back of his quad. After every other quad rides around us we pull apart our quads. This being my first ride with my tether kill switch I forget to plug it back in. So after most of the other quads arer half a lap ahead of me I figure it out. Then to discover in the crash I bent my front brake lever with my hand but the adrenaline was goin so I didn't notice. A front brake is really key to a quad moto, helps plant the front end into the corner and makes it easier to slide the ass end when the front has a lot of the weight transfer

In this moto there are 20 quads entered and about 4 are girls. It would hurt my pride far too much to lose to a girl. So once I got my quad runnin it was a hunt to get ahead of them.

I get out of the first couple short corners to the first table top, so mad I might lose to a girl I keep it pinned and clear my first table top. About a 30ft table. This only boosts my morale and then hit the step up in the same fashion and clear it as well. About a 40ft jump. The next jump is the grand stand but this a 65-70ft table so I don't clear it but do very well. After about 2 laps I reel in 7 quads without a front brake and a hurtin throttle hand.

So near the beginning of the 3rd lap I am catching up fast to a girl with the same quad as me. Appraoching the grand stand table she let's off a lot so I am starting to catch her faster and I let up cuz I don't to go whizzing by her nor do I want to have probs in the air beside someone. Well we all know what happens when you let up and u approach a jump, you endo hard!!!! So I land on the front wheels really bad a lil over halfway into the table and then proceed to roll and roll and roll. Needless to say I was done for the day.

So after xrays, a ct scan, and an mri I found out that I have a fractured spine (small tiny piece) and a lot of torn muscles and ligaments in my back. I am up and walking (in a neck brace) around but on meds. Hurts like a mofo but I am hooked on motocross. The rush of clearing those tables was intense. So the doc said I should take 6 weeks off and might not make any races this year.

So the bike needs some love now and might get a few horsepuppies added to the stable along with a longer steering stem and ss brake lines. Holy long post

Lame part is I am in the er again cuz my gf who got me into the motocross idea twisted her ankle real bad at work. Good thing the drugs started to wear off so I could drive her suv. But now I am sitting in the er without meds!!!! Grrrrrr

Surfing the net on the blackberry is a very slow process. Wishing I had another source of internet. We moved back to rutland, got tired of the 25 minute drive to work everyday and I missed having a yard big enough to park 10 plus cars.

for those who havent been there, to get into the forestry site is a little on the rough side (half the fun) even into late June your lookin at door hight mud puddles to get through.. its a slow go for the last bit.. but omg the camping is amazing(camper or tent, you wont get a trailer in there no way no how) and like i said.. the fishing is nuts..
