best shopping experience ever!

buddy calls me up and tells me to meet up with him at superstore, so i did. he shows me the current zellers flyer has an xmas special on, buy two ps2/3, xbox/360 valued at no more then 59.99 each and get them both for $30 ($15 each).

he went to zellers the day before and bought 30 games, went back the next day and zellers said it was a mistake and that it was meant for ps2 and xbox only! so he takes it to walmart to see if they pricematch, and they would not. takes it to superstore... and they do :)

long story short, i now have over 50 ps3 games and they only cost me $14.99 each because superstore also had no sales tax day last night :)

ontop of that, i had an assload of pc points because i put EVERYTHING through my pc mastercard for the points.

so this shopping experiance... it really didnt cost me much

btw, sale was over last night at 11 =)

Nothing beats miss-prints

went up to the hill yesterday and got in a couple of runs. It was an absolutely gorgeous sunny day but cold as hell; I had icicles forming on my eyelashes. I thought my scarf would be enough but when I got up there it was colder than I thought so had to go buy a balacava (sp).

These are things you need to post as soon as you hear about them, or at least as soon as you're done getting the stuff you want ;)

just got hit with a $430 maintenance bill on the van. injector flush, new front pads, rotors turned.

as soon as i get my heated garage next year, i can save some bucks. until then, i aint working on something -30

Berzerker 12-16-2008 06:51 PM

^^^ Dood I'm outside all day working in this shit.... fuck. I have to use screws and small clips so I can't wear gloves because I can't feel the screws to get them out of my pouch. I lost feeling in my pinky finger several times today. I actually had frozen snot INSIDE my nose.

I get to look forward to it all again tomorrow lol.

Berz out.

RRxtar 12-16-2008 06:54 PM

I worked 36 hours outside from Saturday-Monday. fortunately I could be all bundled up and not have to manipulate small screws and clips.

SmokeyTheBandit 12-16-2008 07:05 PM

i work outside in this weather while i am at work. we had windchill as low as -45 here in sask... 1/2 my job is outside. and i to work with small stuff. i have to climb a ladder to reach it, with nothing to stop the wind. take my gloves off, find the right tool and work on the line. then i have to do it all over again because sometimes the line breaks on me and i have to re do it again. then sometimes i get lucky and work on equipment on the ground, however the box its in is frozen shut or the lock is frozen. have fun getting open metal boxes burried in the snow frozen shut. bolt cuttters only go so far.

i am not going to sit on the ground and work on brake pads in this temp. i'll wait till i get my heated garage next year.

No mom, I'm not watching bukake movies again 12-16-2008 07:37 PM

HAhahaha I love my new job... the hardest part is keeping the operators shack at the right temp! fucking thermostat's gain is set to wide so it's either too cold or way to hot. Electrician just replaced it last month.... $700 (it has to be explosion proof) so i'm not going to take it apart and fuck with it.

RedCeli 12-16-2008 08:15 PM

Sheet metal work is pretty rough when its this cold. The metal is cold on the hands and I can't wear thick gloves because I handle screws all day.

What do you do? I subcontract from Shaw so I'm working on Cable lines and shit on ladders too. Right now I'm rewiring an appt. building and we have to screw and clip each cable line to each suite on the outside of the building up on ladders.

ah, the joys of rewiring apartment blocks, overwire style.

i am an installer by trade, at shaw, not on contract. but in our system, the installers can do everything. we rewire, wire anything.

shaw contracts alot of stuff out, but here in sask, alot of times the installers offer to do the jobs to keep us busier, since we are paid by the job. not hour.

we got a few apt rewires comming up in the next month. every rewire a place on the inside that has minicable? we are going to have to core holes through the entire building in the stairwell. since minicable is 1/4th the size of rg6

ooops, lol... how the hell can you not get pizza delivered? I work at panago for my 2nd job and when I was working tuesday our delivery times were only 45 mins and I was doing good keeping to that time... You must live in the Sahali area or above cause I noticed the roads were somewhat bad when I swung by walmart last night.
