I always see these "thanks" things all over RS. How do I thank someone? Slo40 has'nt been thanked much. lol

Slo40 05-11-2009 07:51 AM

haha what can I say, its a thankless job...

your guess is as good as mine on the thanks dealy.

down_hill_dog 05-11-2009 08:09 AM

Thanks for your help Shawn.. hah

I know your planning on going fishing and camping and that... But what do you say one weekend in early June a bunch of us have an informal meet and go rub some tires out at westside gokarts?

Slo40 05-11-2009 08:23 AM

sounds like fun to me

RRxtar 05-14-2009 08:43 AM

sort of funny story I read while looking up chainsaws

"Clearing a patch I cut down a tree, whereupon I was attacked by the residents of a wasp nest who lived in the tree. I dropped the saw and ran. A few wasps chased me for a while but the majority attacked the still idling saw. I stood and watched the 'slaughter' for a while & realized that it was going to take hours for the saw to run out of gas. So ever the resourceful young man, I found a long stick and reached in & flipped the switch to off. The wasps had been successful and had killed the saw, they soon left in search of a new home, leaving me to continue the brush clearing."

so i went to blackfoot motorsports in calgary yesterday with my buddy to buy some new riding gear for the season. i had a budget of 2k for gloves, boots, lid, jacket, visor... i ended up only spending under 1400 after tax for the gear, gas to get there, and oil filters and chain lube for my bike.

my buddy bought a bike there so they gave me a 15% discount on all the gear i bought which turned into a $462 savings! plus i saved $62 on paying only one tax!!

i lucked out on my alpinestar leathers because they had last years jacket they gave to me at cost (apparently $299.44) which retailed at $600.

now i got some money in the bank! w00t

I usually buy last yrs gear. Way cheaper and same stuff just doesn't have the same shwang effect with the poser riders who know everything that comes out but ride twice a year. I did that with my fox moto-x stuff. I did buy this yrs boots tho. Lately I have been buying a lot of this yrs stuff because I am dating a girl that works at yammy here, sweeeeet deals

I just modded a new camera to my possession today. An olympus stylus 8000. Its shockproof, waterproof to 10ft, 12mp, has a sweet burst function which will be handy for jumping, and a face detection beauty shadow adj doey option. Sounded cool from the geek that sold it to me.

RedCeli 05-25-2009 02:27 PM

So how about those rockets? They sure got their asses handed to them.

saucywoman 05-25-2009 04:49 PM

got my first speeding ticket in my 6 years of driving :( Was caught doing 35 over in Valemount and the cop was nice enough to give me the lowest fine of $138. It sucks but it's my own fault :)

before or after they won the whl championship?

id say its a disapointing finish, but things could be worse

they could be the Blazers :haha:

i think if Gugenburger hadnt lost the game in the first 7 minutes they could have pulled it off
such is life tho right

down_hill_dog 05-25-2009 10:50 PM

Happy B-day Tommy!

Today, those metal plates on the highway where the construction is on 97 in town.. Those metal plates they lay down that already blew the lower beam adjuster off the beetle claimed me again tonight. This time i crept up to them at maybe 2, touched it and bounced back.. I had to take it at an angle, and the guy yells through my window.. Man thats low, thats fuckin awesome. hahaha

fourtirefire 05-26-2009 06:13 AM

Why don't you just avoid that section of the highway until the construction is over?

zumvette 05-26-2009 08:09 AM

Whoa 35 over thru valemont?? Yikes. Its usually a speed trap. That and clearwater (I think, I know it when I see it). Coming back from Etown?

saucywoman 05-26-2009 08:35 AM

no I was heading to edmonton on thurs. There was no speed trap, the cop was heading into town as I was just starting to leave it :( I was caught on the straight stretch of the highway so that's why I was doing 135.

Went to Pavilion With my dad and brought back one of the many travel trailers we have to sell since we're selling our beachfront. Surprised the trailer made it back as its been sitting in the same spot since 1977

jeffh 05-27-2009 02:43 PM

so, i drove 2 s2000's today

what am i doing with a fucknig jeep again?

down_hill_dog 05-27-2009 04:53 PM

^ cause you can get drunk and drive over shit

Nothing wrong with having a cheap weekend beater and then a nice car.

Dirt Rider 05-27-2009 06:55 PM

i was just goin to say the exact same thing.... Do you owe anything on the jeep.. .solid chance not... keep it as a winter/weekend beater.. and if ur into the s2k , rock it spring/summer/fall.. i cant recall the last time i only hadone vehilcle...

RRxtar 05-27-2009 07:04 PM

on the same note, ive never met anyone whos had like 40 vehicles in their 'past rides' list

down_hill_dog 05-27-2009 08:59 PM

The Beetle is my 23rd car! I sat down and figured it out the other day, and was kind of blown away. lol

A previous PREVIOUS gen Accord V6 Coupe would make a nice DD/ roadtrip car for reasonable monies.

Iceman-19 05-27-2009 10:59 PM

I cant even remember all the cars Ive owned anymore. Its probably better off I dont remember to be honest. I hate Vancouver, I cant wait to get home. On an awesome note, I might be getting my first Snap-On tool box soon! :D

I sat down and counted last year. The b2200 was #30 and I've had a few since than... so roughly 35 now.

underscore 05-28-2009 10:14 AM

only 2 so far :(
