actually anytime, the economy is that bad in the states.

Fox1096 02-06-2009 06:34 PM

Anyone know if the TRUMP hotel is any good and how far away from the main area of the Las Vegas Strip is it?

Meowjin 02-06-2009 08:33 PM

close to the wynn and the fashion mall, but kinda off the strip. if your into walking long distances to see other casinos it's not for you. But when I was there i just cabbed everyhwere.

But to get to say the venetian hotel for example, it's a walkable distance?

Technically everything on the strip is a walkable distance ... but the distance between Trump and Venetian is about a 5 min walk ... I would probably recommend going with another hotel since the Trump is like what the other people said is a bit off the strip ... also does not have a casino and for the price is not worth it since there are comparable hotels closer to the center of the strip ... but thats my opinion ...

I would of chose another hotel, however, I guess that's what I get for bidding with priceline (where you enter in the lowest amount you're willing to pay and they choose a hotel for you, in my case, a 5 star hotel).

Fox, when are you going? If it's in summer, you don't really want to walk that far 'cause it's freaking hot. I'm going in June myself, there was a good sale last week, and when I went to book this week, prices went back up already...will wait a little longer to see if there is another sale.

f00tzilla 02-07-2009 08:13 PM

how much did you bid per night on priceline Fox1096?

i'm heading down to vegas on the 16-19

Probably too much, a bit over $120 per night and I chose for a 5 star minimum.

Meowjin 02-09-2009 03:52 PM

you got ripped off, no offense, vegas can be done for cheaper now, in places like "the hotel", bellagio etc...

babyshortie 02-09-2009 09:39 PM

i got encore and direct flight in jan for $450 a person. i think i scored a pretty good deal.

very nice hotel but at the very top of the strip

Where would you book these hotel for cheap..cuz from what I've seen, Bellagio is still quite expensive (230ish a night) through their own site..

I just booked a trip to Vegas from orbitz.com. Is this a good deal?

- For 2 people
- 5 nights at MGM
- 2 tickets to any Cirque de Soliel show
- $865 USD ($1020 CAD) final price after $75 coupon from retailmenot.com

Also, what do you think is the best Cirque de Soleil show to watch?
- "O"
- KA
- LOVE
- Mystere
- Zumanity
- Believe

skyxx 02-13-2009 09:17 PM

I booked a grand tower room for $49 bucks a night at the MGM Grand. What a deal!. :) Will be staying at Vegas for 3 nights in April. By the way, other than having buffets everyday/night. What other hotel/casino restaurants do you guys recommend? :D

411ken 02-16-2009 02:42 PM

^ Whoa that's cheap! where'd you get that deal??

Is that flying through here? When are you going? I guess it's a "normal" price for that long of a stay and hotel.

From some online website that displays deals etc etc. If you sign up for the MGM/Mirage group or other hotel email promotions, they will usually send you pretty awesome stuff.

Anyway, I'm still looking for some answers from my previous post :D

Meowjin 02-22-2009 11:09 AM

both o and ka are stellar

and you got a very good deal.

but imo 5 days in vegas is too long, unless you rent a car and visit the red mountains/grand canyon

Looks like a decent deal... I also booked a trip to Vegas from Orbitz. Found the $75 coupon last minute and I got US$684 for 2 people, flying from Vancouver and 3 nights at Treasure Island, as well as the 2 Cirque du Soleil tix. I looked into flying out of Seattle, or Bellingham, but the small savings weren't worth the trouble, in my opinion.

Personally, I've seen "O" twice (for free :D), and Mystere once. "O" was the best, but Mystere was very good too. This time around, I'm going to watch Ka. From what I've read, I'm not interested in LOVE (Beatles? maybe for my parents), Believe looks creepy, and KA simply looked more interesting than Zumanity.

skyxx, I'm also looking for some restaurant recommendations. When I was younger, one of the reasons I went to Vegas was for the buffets! Now, I can't eat as much, so I want to appreciate what I'm eating. :)

Hot Karl 02-24-2009 11:33 PM

mon april 6 to thur april 9th. flying down from bellingham.

flight is $90usd total. i love allegiant. stayed at mgm last time and it was cool but i didn't like how it was so far at one end. might stay at flamingo because we all had good luck last time, it's on the strip and a bit more central. and i love the old school look. best deal i've found on flamingo is 127 total for the 3 nights. i've got mgm at 212 total.

411ken 02-27-2009 11:14 AM

^ not bad man.. if you are gonig with someone else.. it's only 300 bucks for 3 nights..preetyy good stay..have fun!

q0192837465 02-27-2009 01:52 PM

i'm heading down Apr 27-May 1 (5 days 4 nights) and stay in Paris. 800Cad for 2 ppl. Is that a good deal? We are flying from Seattle tho.

jtlsw 03-09-2009 11:50 PM

I plan to head down March 28~March 31 4 days 3 nights.
Anybody know of any deals now?
I checked orbitz.com and a flight for 2 and MGM seems to be more expensive than what "Denny" have found without the tickets.
anybody has any tips on searching for best deals?

Hot Karl 03-10-2009 01:30 AM

um, how about some info? what price did they give you? have you done any searching besides going to orbitz? you generally get a better deal booking seperate, i use fatwallet.com's forums for vegas hotels. there's a giant thread that folks list up deals on.

$345 for 3 nights at mgm.
$300 flight:
Sat, Mar 28 Depart: 3:20 pm Vancouver, Canada (YVR) PhilippineAirlines106
Arrive: 6:05 pm Las Vegas, NV (LAS)
Tue, Mar 31 Depart: 7:30 pm Las Vegas, NV (LAS) PhilippineAirlines107
Arrive: 10:20 pm Vancouver, Canada (YVR)

there are plenty of other non stop flights to vegas at various times of the day. i just used orbitz for the flight and fatwallet for the hotel. now go search and find them. you're lucky i'm just checking on deals before i go in april or else i would have flamed you for being lazy instead of helping.

EDIT: i just found mgm for 3 nights at your date for 291 total with $25 dining/bar credit and 2 free drinks at west wing bar. mgm grand #9 at fatwallet.
