Ducky 11-20-2008 12:56 AM

I'm heading there on Friday and heard the weather is decent.

jmvdesign 11-20-2008 08:40 PM

I'm looking to spend NY's there and I haven't been there in 14 years. What will be the best club to hit for NY's? Prefer a hiphop club.

be prepared to pay lots for cover for new years parties.. thats when they get celebs in all the big clubs

not sure what is the best club for that particular night, but when i went in May all of the non-gamblers (the clubbers) went to LAX, Jet, Pure, and Tao. Supposedly Tao was the best?? try to sneak in guest list apparently they dont give a shit if you tell them you're canadian.

I went last year in November and I thought the weather was perfect

the weather only gets REALLY bad at like 2am..

its a really dry desert breeze... during the day theres the sun to warm you up slightly, but definitely bring a jacket around

I walked around in cargo shorts + tshirt ~9pm and people were staring at me like I'm some freak lol

It gets a little breezy at night but its nothing too crazy.

Is that 650 to fly out of vancouver ... and it also depends on the hotel class you are staying in as well ...

I just booked westjet for dec 28-30 and i cost me 300 total for the package (long story short, I booked their package deal for the flight and hotel but won't stay in the hotel they gave me cause it sucks and is like 40 miles from Las Vegas itself and the package costs 300 but if you buy flight only its 800, go figure) ... then i just booked another hotel on the strip seperately for another 300 and so i'm set for my trip and it only cost me 600 bucks ...

allegiantair.com flies out of Bellingham but its a hit or miss depending on the dates you want to fly, check them out and see if cheaper or not, they also have packages or just flight only ... I booked a roundtrip flight to Vegas with them for $88.50 total so there are deals to be had there but looking at your dates you might not have the savings that warrant a mini roadtrip ...

PM me if you have questions, I've been doing a lot of research over the years and I might be able to help you out ...

thx for the info.. $650 is flying out of vancouver.. and for most 4+ stars hotel other than MGM..

just checked that site... mostly it's around $500-600US for a package.. flights kinda pricy too for dec 25 departure..

You can always check ortbitz.com, expedia.com/ca, cheaptickets.com travel.yahoo.com for flights leaving from Seattle to see if they are cheaper ... you also want to make sure the times are good cause lots of those cheaper flights leave Vegas at like 6AM or sometime in the morning, which sucks ... gotta find flights thats early in late out ...

for hotels, try using smartervegas.com for promos for each of the hotels, the website pretty much has almost all of the promos covered and even links you to the hotel's website with codes already ...

Happy Hunting

They're getting snow in Vegas?

411ken 12-18-2008 07:33 AM

^ Yup. Well, it's the most snow they had in about 30 something years so it's not like it will snow everyday. But I checked their forecast and it looks like there's some rain coming in.

The last thing I want if I go to vegas is see snow or rain haha. might as well stay in vancouver.

B-nAnA 01-14-2009 01:23 AM

For anyone thinking about going to Vegas, if you check redflagdeals.com right now, there are quite a few hotel deals. Allegiant Air was also offering a $28 promo on some flights but I don't know if that's over or not.

Girl 01-15-2009 12:55 PM

^Seriously what's happening to the world? Vegas was a desert last time I checked and the next thing I knew I was seeing pictures of a winter wonderland over the strip

huck-jai 01-21-2009 07:34 PM

I'm looking to rent out a house for a stag weekend. Anyone know of any good renting sites? Supposedly there's a lot of scams going on now. Not sure which site to trust.

saucywoman 01-22-2009 12:32 PM

don't know if they rent in vegas but I've heard good things about vrbo.com

NoMoreG35 01-23-2009 07:40 PM

You can rent out time-share condos too. They usually cost ~$1000 for a week in a 1000-1500 sq. ft. condo. Decent price compared to hotels.

Which months are considered "low time" in LV and have cheaper hotel rates?
