The bottom floor of the hotel/casino was flooded when I was there. Apparently it happens every time it rains. |

It was partially flooded when I was there in November. Supposedly one of the pipes burst so they had to get their shit together fast and get it fixed lol |
I usually go to Vegas around May/June as I find the prices fairly cheap. I would suggest waiting for Allegiant to have their buy 1 fly 1 free as I used that last time/year and it cost me 500$ for 4 nights/5 days with Tropicana as the hotel... As long as the hotel is clean and safe, that's all that matters as like everyone says, we were there just to rest up... I'd rather spend the money I save from "high end" hotels and play poker with it haha or eat/watch a show.. Have fun! I'll be there in June again but this time, it'll be a road trip to LA and Vegas. |

But fo sho i'll post after I come back from my trip next week. |
^^ how much did the package cost if you don't mind me asking? |
Quote:
It was consistantly at or around $700-$800 and as high as just over $1000, there was even 1 day I saw it at $580 but I had already got mine. Allthese prices were from travelocity/expedia etc.. I checked some travel agencies and it was even most expensive then what I paid |
hey guys, need some help. i might be possibly switching jobs at the end of the month and i wanna take a few day off to vegas. a couple of things...i have no car so allegiant is kinda outta the question. no, i really dont want to take the shuttle to catch the 9am flight outta BLI and i dont think any of my friends are willing to drive me on a weekday. so, as of now, it looks like im flying outta YVR. who flys *direct* from YVR to LAS? also, where so you guys find *hotel only* deals? as stated above, im more then happy to crash at imperial. last, if someone can direct me to a site were i can get a package at IP and a direct flight, i would be very happy. thx! |
flameboy check out aircanada, or possibly even http://www.nwa.com I don't know if they have any nonstop flights there, but I found aircanada to be cheap when I flew from here in Kamloops last year. I recommended http://www.nwa.com because they are the cheapest airline I've found flying to Hawaii so maybe they'll be the same for Vegas. For hotels check out the hotel's website directly. Last year I stayed at Harrah's for $55/night. I got a newly renovated room which I thought was really nice. I found the hotel was pretty good as well. They have a dueling piano's performance, and there's a bar outside which I enjoyed |

Just came back yesterday and stayed at Caesars. Man the economy is bad it was pretty dead down there for Vegas standards. Weather was perfect in the day but night time could of been warmer. Watched O, wicked show. Might be a little too artsy for some but it was a pretty amazing show I thought. Tried Wynn buffet and it was pretty good shit. Quite a large variety of meat and people were going crazy for the alaska king crab legs. Also tried the Bellagio buffet but we went on Sunday so it wasn't the $38 Gourmet Dinner Buffet. So it would be unfair to compare this one to the Wynn buffet we had. None the less the Bellagio buffet was decent but not WOW. They also had Alaska King Crab legs for their $27 buffet. Caesars Palace is well massive like many of the other casinos. I was really happy with my stay there and have no complaints really. Room had a view over the Caesars pool and I could also see half the the Bellagio fountain. Room also had a jacuzzi and Sony flat screens. Overall pretty nice room. I really have nothing to say about the hotel other then it was perfect, nothing went wrong, and the hotel is really nice. Check out Pure on Friday. All i hear before was Pure is so good, it's rated the #1 club in NA and from checking out the website it did appear to look decent. However, once I got in within seconds me and my gf were not impressed. The music was bad, they were playing guns and roses and crap like that, dj yelling out if you don't like this shit then fuck you, place actually doesn't really look all that nice in person, there was absolutely noting special about the place at all. We left within 30 mins. Check out Tao on Saturday. Now this is a club. Pure has nothing on Tao imo. Tao has 3 rooms. 2 rooms on the main floor and Tao Beach upstairs on top of the hotel so it's outdoors. The decor is pretty sick and the place just looks really really dope. Music was your typical top 40, rap & r&b stuff. It does get pretty cramped in there though to the point where you walk into a room and you can't make your way anywhere cause its shoulder to shoulder, but that was expected for a busy Vegas club. Gunstore = dope! Didn't want to go off and spend $600 on shooting so just tried a glock, some other pistol, a semi auto Ak-47, and the ever so famous Mp5. Anyone going to Vegas should definitely come to this store. For the girls and some guys I guess shopping is probably one fo the last things on your mind in Vegas but here goes. First of all I'm not sure what brands everyone is in to but imo the only places you should even consider going is the Caesars Forum shops and Premium Outlet. The other Vegas outlet I didn't even bother after reading what stores they had. Also any of the high end stores at Bellagio can be found at Caesars Forum plus Caesars has even more shops so no point in Bellagio either. Was disappointed at the lack of selection at Premium. Brand wise it was decent, better then the one by Bellingham but only grabbed a pair of shorts. YMMV on this one. Did most of the buying at the Caesars Forum Shops. Mainly it was just the Gucci store. Our $ is close to or on par and has been for a while. Their prices were a bit better and with the dollar being good why not buy it there. Aight time to get back to work for now post later. |
Never mind with fees it's not that great, discard this. :) |
hey guys, i'm booked for vegas from the 28th-1st... staying at mirage, do u think we'll be able to get the renovated rooms if we request it? also, what would you rather watch - mystere (cirque) or the blue man group? noting that 5 girls are goin on this trip. plus, any good 24hr places to check out?? Thanks!! :) |
Mystere for sure. It's been around for so long and it's still one of the best. winson604: which tower did you stay in at Caesar's? |

I'm heading to Vegas on Tuesday for two nights for the NAB show. I'm staying at the Palazzo, has anyone stayed at this hotel? How's the fashion mall thats beside it? |
Quote:
Well there are 4 rooms club inside the PURE club. Each room has their own kind of music. Maybe you stayed usually in the glass wall lounge because they usually play rock and alternative songs their. Pussy Cat Doll lounge, glass wall lounge, the pure lounge itself, and the outside balcony lounge over looking the strip. |

Anyways what i'm really saying is there is nothing special about Pure whatsoever except for the fact that some celebs go there. Tao on the other hand was just off the hook in every way possible. |
Hey winson, nice pics from Vegas. I saw them cause my gf commented on the pic of your gf shooting at the gun store :D [edit] shit...caesar's palace's pool looks sweeeet |

...baller! Fashion Show Mall isn't bad and the size is pretty good. It's sorta like a Richmond Center. Spent some time in there shopping with the gf and picked up a nice Diesel bag as well. I think they have fashion shows every Saturday/Sunday. |
Yes. Palazzo is the new 5 star hotel. Palazzo has sale nights going on right now so should check out the website |

Going to Vegas next week with the gf and deciding what show to watch. We're deciding between Ka or La Reve. Have anyone watched these shows before? We're staying at the mandalay bay so i'm leaning towards ka just coz it's closer to the hotel. |
