You're an idiot. That's like having Pastrami on white bread. Everyone else has it with Mortadella with some Havarti on Ciabatta. Sheesh. :p

cool, thats pretty much what i was expecting. It's not that tragic... Cheaper is always better, but hey..

thanks mana :)

velvia is not cheese!!

i like the 100 way better - the colors it produces are so warm and vivid and bright and i could go on lol - the 100F is not so great. this type of film is usually meant for landscapes and nature - but just wanted to see what u guys thought humans looked like processed in such a manner. Do you think my buddy's face is red at all? - i think it looks more golden brown - but just want to know how you guys see it.

Tom u are the only one i know who has a colour calibrated monitor - what do you tink?

The first one isn't so nice because of the green grass, but the second one has this amazing glowing warmth to it.
Try out some landscape shots with it

you defeinlely should share your insights on printing!

i want to get a good printer after i go back to hong kong later in the summer.

i want to start printer my own pictures, so i have a good incentive to improve on picture taking.

Mananetwork 06-05-2007 02:57 PM

I think it's still cheaper to get someone else to print my photos. Paint, paper, colour test prints and printers are still to expensive.

MikesJo 06-05-2007 02:58 PM

Printers that large cost $$ not incl. the ink. He prints them at work...

I did that for only one print. Not all

MikesJo 06-05-2007 04:09 PM

Where'd you get the rest printed and how much was it?

Mananetwork 06-05-2007 07:00 PM

The others were printed at clubcard, but the service isn't very good there

http://www.clubcard.ca/

I have to find myself another place

nah, some sorta swampy butterfly. The wings were blue on the inside (inside the closed part), but gray on the outside. They were all chilling at the puddles near a river...

There have been some amazing advancements in the talent here since I've gone MIA, these shots are really inspiring.

From a recent show by Vancouver band Muffgoat... pretty standard type of shot, but I thought the mic stand was really cool (yes, it's a real goat's skull). Lighting turned out pretty good, with FEC of -2/3 stop, 420EX flash angled toward the ceiling.

Band logo was clipped out of an online copy of their poster, so it's not quite perfect. I also cloned out (as best I could, that definitely needs some practice) the lead singer's head from behind the goat's horn on the right. Only other editing was a little sharpness and the addition of the borders.

Did you soften the picture? I think it might've looked better if she was standing away from the bg and not leaning on it. Not really liking the posture and how her hands are pulling down her pants slightly. Her feet are too dark as well. You've shot better :).
