that is basically an hdr. Just not HDR'd together into one image. It's two pictures, with the top of the house picture erased.

No, the window shades are not yellow, that's from the light that is on inside the house.

laurencepak 05-23-2007 06:28 PM

the whole picture has a very nice mood to it, i especially like how the lights and the sunset (sunrise) have similar color.

the only problem with it is the perspective...which should be easy to fix? other wise i really like the shot.

ColinK 05-23-2007 09:35 PM

what do you mean the perspective? Like how I shot it on an angle instead of straight on?

MikesJo 05-24-2007 04:38 PM

Got a bit bored at work so I had these pics on my laptop and decided to throw them together :).

no..i don't mean u shot at an angle..but i meant that you shot it looking down...

so the verticals aren't straight.

All work was done by me, except for the materials

These were printed on canvas stock then glued to the back of black foam cord. Looks easy, but very hard to do.

niforpix 05-26-2007 09:00 AM

Nicely done Tomasz.

Senna4ever 05-26-2007 09:40 AM

Looks good!

GFunk 05-26-2007 01:23 PM

mananetwork, would you be willing to do a few prints in the same style that you've done in the past for a fee?

MikesJo 05-26-2007 05:14 PM

You can get them done at london drugs and other places as well, it's just going to cost you.

Or get them printed, go out by some foam board from say staples, cut it, get non-liquid glue from a arts store like Loomis on Broadway and have a go at it :). It's a lot of fun.

Found this little hairy guy on my balcony today :)

I love constructing my own art from start to end. It's really time consuming, but in the end you save tons of money and feel like you've accomplished something. Careful because with the first couple prints it's all trial and error. The more you do the easier it becomes.

MikesJo 05-26-2007 11:51 PM

I know what you mean Tom :).

boxeraddict 05-27-2007 03:12 PM

Ok, I am a beginner and I don't have much of a knack for setting up great shots. I have a Canon S3IS P&S camera which I am not really all that familiar with.

I snapped this shot the other day, nothing spectacular but I like this style of photography (nature/architecture).

MikesJo 05-27-2007 08:39 PM

Good start and it looks like you have an eye for framing seeing how you placed the stairs in the corner making the viewer's eyes flow toward the middle :).

ColinK 05-27-2007 09:51 PM

Took some pics of that kid that is grading today. I'm pretty happy with the results. Most of the photos turned out pretty good.
