Boostslut: Instead of using filters (it sort of looks like you used filters) try doing basic brightness/contrast adjustments, that may help more. The picture of the boat is a bit flat. I don't know what the boat looked like but I probably would've taken a shot with the boat and its' surroundings. If I was going to take the shot of the name of the boat, I would try to incorporate something maybe more meaningful within the frame? Try different angles.

Keep it up :).

Thanks for the constructive feedback MikesJo :) Animal pics feedback?

Being a pro or not having the best equipment has nothing to do with it....it's the soft, squishy thing behind the camera that counts. If you liked the textures of the boat, concentrate on the textures....may not making it obvious that it's a boat might be more effective.

Like Mike wrote: Keep it up.

Comments welcome too! :)

That would be a lion, not a tiger. :p Too bad that grey haze is there. Is it the fence? Not much to write...it's a generic shot.

What lens did you use for the falcon shot? The bokeh is very choppy...aperture about f5.6? I would have gone with a larger aperture.

Range of the flash is 56 metres at 100 ISO. Range of the flash in wireless mode relative to the camera? The manual says 5m, but I've used it much farther away. It's not radio controlled, but optical, so you can shoot around corners, but not through walls. In bright daylight, the sensor has to be turned towards the camera to see the trigger flash. In darkness, I've placed the flash in another room with the doors open and it went off.

I just tried some test shots. I put the flash on the bathroom counter and shot from the livingroom. Distance - more than 5m.

I put the flash on the floor around the corner. Distance - about 5m.

Ha ha I didn't even notice they were wearing money the first glance, whats that all about?

MikesJo 06-15-2007 10:05 PM

Filipino tradition called the "Money Dance" where individuals who want to dance with the bride or groom come and "pay" for a dance by attaching a bill to their clothes.

It's one of those times you the saying "I'm worth xxx amount" can be taken literally. Haha.

ForbiddenX 06-15-2007 10:10 PM

props to you senna! you take AMAZING pictures. Love the last 2 pics you posted.
