I would love to go wider, but I also want to think FF in the future just in case. Is the Sigma 10-20 compatible with a Full Frame? And if it is... is it worth it? Isn't there all sorts of crazy barrel distortion and stuff on a full frame sensor when you're at 10mm? Thanks Mananetwork! It's good to hear little secrets. Haha |
You should have bought into Nikon if you wanted a good flash system. |

Nikon's flash system kicks everyone's ass now. Very impressive. I just found out that my made-in-1993 F4S can use the wireless flash system if I use SB800/600. Talk about backwards compatibility! |
If you want a FF wide angle, the Sigma 12-24 is your best bet, but using such a WA lens well is quite difficult to pull off. I want one, though! |
indeed the nikon flash kicks ass. i was actually planning on getting sb800's for my canon setup :P but then thats just weird....so i have my 550ex / 430ex along with ebay slave/triggers. works fine and using the 550ex as a master and slaving the 430 is perfectly fine. though distance is prob a huge factor. this is where the ebay triggers come in. but as for the 10-20 sigma . i have it on my 1.3 crop and i can see the vignetting qite a lot. sort of adds to some photos but kinda not to others. at 12mm i can't see the vig. but if i have the lens hood on .. thats a diff story :P |
im using 2 nikon d100's with the sigma 12-24 lens, i have to say, for me canon is so much better lol. just the way menu/buttons are organized on the d100 is so stupid and the metering is way off.... i guess it could be the d100's r old but even so, my old 300d was better.... dunno about the flashes however, using a sigma one and its crap too. lol wouldnt mind trying a nikon flash when i get a chance since ive been hearing wonders about it too |

EG_Wanna_Be: Here is a film camera + Sigma 12-24. Both pictures shot at full 12mm. I also have a picture of Kyle's head looking like a huge balloon while his feet are super small. Sort of a cool lens if you want that sort of thing. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/113/2...c3d07e2f_o.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/119/2...d5d0ecdf_o.jpg |
