^^ That looks almost surreal. You need to correct perspective though.

Yeah, you can see the foreground and background blurring a bit, and the guy's left shoulder (our right side) is sort-of hazy. What ISO is that?

2nd curtain sync?

he means your buildings are all leaning in doing a shoulder lean. To correct you can go into photoshop and fix the distortion.

iso 400. didn't want to bump the iso cause noise would be too apparent in such a low lit image. and yes lots of blurring.
and yes 2nd curtain. if i did first curtain he'd be all ghosted :P

roastpuff 10-06-2008 03:10 PM

You're using a 1DMk2, right? How's the high ISO performance on that? Because I've seen 1DMk3 shots with ISO1600 being very decent, and ISO800 on it is clean of almost all noise...

bikerx 10-06-2008 03:17 PM

yeah im using a 1d mk2. mind you its from 2004 rofls. but the iso isn't as noisy as d70s or anything. i'd say 1600 is usuable for online viewing but i rather not have the noise if im going to print. i have a whole series but this wasn't even for class so i might get around to them when ii have time.

Oh ok, I had a feeling that's what he was referring to.

^^^ What's with the pink glow on the instruments? Is it caused by a red light?

^ Agreed. I've taken a shot similar to that at SFU convo :P. I like the colors though. Nice E90 shot, yours?

ice-520 10-09-2008 11:17 PM

Thanks, i wanted some contrast instead of just blues
E90 is not mine, we were just at a red light

Very cool idea... thing that would have improved it for me would be having the camera on a tripod so everything else is sharp and clear, then the motion of the golfer would really stand out.

Senna4ever 10-10-2008 08:10 AM

^^^ Using your flash on stroboscopic mode might be cool, too. A burst at 20Hz or something?
