wyuzz 02-08-2013 02:28 PM

Im still new to this watch game so i have a lot to learn from you experts, my very first automatic watch i picked up from ebay. A very unique watch indeed but setting the time was hard for me and if it wasn't for google i wouldn't have done it.

FACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :okay:

I'm going to say... price went up due to inflation and supply&demand! :alone:

Yobokies didn't even offer me a discount albeit knowing I was a WUS member.

Looks good though

Haha, thanks! It's suppose to be my homage to the Rollex Submariner, while having some Seiko traits ofc. :accepted:

My 007 with it's newly acquired "Wjean's Super Oyster Type IIc" It's faily similar to the factory Seiko bracelet 22mm-18mm at clasp but with Solid End Links!

Too bad my watch tool kit I ordered off eBay hasn't arrived from HK yet haha... :okay:

everyone getting new straps, this is making me eager to get one too; was thinking of getting a brown leather nato, i think i want a vintage/distressed type one.

I was looking at this gunny strap (anyone with past experience buying from him btw?)

Have a chance to trade my MM300 for this Breitling Seawolf Avenger (on rubber instead of the bracelet).
Would you guys do it?

cantona 02-10-2013 09:40 AM

^^Hmm can't say I would do it, mostly because I'm not a fan of breitling aesthetics.

Perhaps if it were the superocean I would consider it, since it looks a bit cleaner imo to the one you posted.

stuff99 02-13-2013 05:10 PM

What brand watch holder to you guys use? Do you guys use an automatic watch winder?

joquio 02-13-2013 05:37 PM

So the Breitling didn't work out as the seller already sold it while I was still making up my mind.
On impulse I bought a HEXA K500 Bead Blasted version today.

I have some for sale that I don't use anymore.....

stuff99 02-14-2013 08:34 AM

What brand and model is it?

ntan 02-17-2013 02:02 PM

Does anyone have experience with an Orbita watch winder? Do they typically go on sale?

kkttsang 02-17-2013 03:44 PM

What do you guys think of skeleton watches. Anyone know any good skeleton watches. They look pretty cool I think.

smarv 02-18-2013 03:29 PM

Well, got around to do the dagaz mod to my snk809, im happy with it, but I have spotted a dust particle so ill have to open it up again :okay:

Now I am thinking I want the case to be polished, dunno yet. I also bought some nato's and other straps from C&B so let's see how they look on it, because the oem bracelet is shit imo.

Ill post up 2 phone pics, sorry they are not up to par with the likes of joquios photos.

Cool mod man. Even though Mercedes hands doesn't do it for me.
Did you end up changing the dial and hands yourself?
Props if you pulled it off yourself.
If you really want to polish the case you could try to do it with a cape cod polishing cloth. Maybe just polishing the bezel will do the trick.

cantona 02-20-2013 09:00 PM

Yeah, i think its going to turn out to be a nice little beater, I'll be wearing this pretty often since I work in a lab so I don't have to worry to much about it.
Looks nicer in person too, my pictures dont do justice obviously.

Heh, yeah replaced it myself :fuckyea:, fuck tho, trying to place the second hand did take a while :/

Yeah, I think I might want to go the full explorer route with a polished case or bezel?, I've read that maybe brasso or mothers mag/alu might also work. Either way I'll test out the methods on spare links and see how it looks first.
