asia. or you might have some luck in richmond. aberdeen? parker? or any of those little game stores. they might've brought some over, but i haven't seen any myself.

as for those new dynammic themes... they look very cool. gonna look into updating FW =)

btw ... they have a silver ps3 as well. but i think the white one looks the nicest.

anyone know what it means when it doesnt boot and the power button => still red to flash yellow back to flashing red with no screen turning up..

underscore 09-06-2009 12:37 PM

^ yellow light of death, there are tutorials on how to fix it only but there's no guaranteed method yet afaik

YiNG_YaNG_6o4 09-06-2009 01:01 PM

hrmmz... sorry i can't be of any help. i've never had any problems with the system so far. but i also don't play it too much either.. maybe thats why. i usually buy a new game ... test it out for about an hour or so ... and then it gets put away lol. its kind of a bad habit of mine. collect a bunch of stuff ... so if i ever do want something to play with ... i know it'll be there hehe.

btw ... does anyone stream movies from their pc onto the ps3 to watch on the tv? is it easy to setup?

underscore 09-06-2009 02:03 PM

^ yes, search up TVersity

hongy 09-06-2009 02:55 PM

so I currently have a ps3 but I'm trading it for a ps3 slim, I was planning to get battlefield 1943 but do I have to buy it again when I get my new ps3? I was also going to get the little big planet theme. Can I reinstall those things on the new ps3 by logging onto my psn account?

Renxo 09-06-2009 03:21 PM

pretty sure you lose ur data...unless you take out the HDD...you have to re-buy it.

Anyone know if you can stream .MKV 1080p files? It says data is not supported, I was streaming thru wind mp11....or do you know a good program to convert it?

About MKV files, Samsung is coming out with Firmware updates for all their players from BDP 1500 and up that will allow you to play MKV files

people figure it wont be long before PS3 does the same

For people who want to stream media to the ps3 easily and efficiently, use the PS3 Media Server. It's basically a program that was started by a couple of guys and in my opinion kicks the crap out of tversity. The setup is literally like 2 mins. It's supported for Windows (It can be run as a service), Linux and OSX.

http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/

Basically run the setup file, and configure your share directory on your computer.

You can even have movie cover art show up on your PS3. In the share directory on your computer lets say you have a Braveheart.mkv file. If you put in a braveheart.jpg you will now from the PS3 XMB see the Movie Cover to the left of the name.

For transcoding bluray files its a good idea to have at least a dual core cpu. I run a dual core 5200 as one of my machines that serves out media to my ps3 and it does a perfect job with no problem.

The program also acts as a file server. From your PS3, you can hit triangle on any of your movie files and save them to your ps3 as well.

It can play any format you want.

Just be thankful they are not Blizzard

or your grandson will be the one playing FF 13

Mugen EvOlutioN 09-09-2009 09:40 AM

:haha::haha::haha::haha:

it does takes Blizzard a very long time to develope a game, but hell most of the games they release are a hit

unit 09-09-2009 09:58 AM

^every single online game they released has been gold. even war2 was awesome but didnt have BNET to launch it into massive success till years after the game got old.

Alatar 09-12-2009 09:56 AM

Warcraft 2 was still a hit, regardless of having b.net or not.
