just wanted to see if anyone has brought it anywhere else on this thread that had good results.. anyone know what it means when it doesnt boot and the power button => still red to flash yellow back to flashing red with no screen turning up.. |
^ yellow light of death, there are tutorials on how to fix it only but there's no guaranteed method yet afaik |
hrmmz... sorry i can't be of any help. i've never had any problems with the system so far. but i also don't play it too much either.. maybe thats why. i usually buy a new game ... test it out for about an hour or so ... and then it gets put away lol. its kind of a bad habit of mine. collect a bunch of stuff ... so if i ever do want something to play with ... i know it'll be there hehe. btw ... does anyone stream movies from their pc onto the ps3 to watch on the tv? is it easy to setup? |
^ yes, search up TVersity |
so I currently have a ps3 but I'm trading it for a ps3 slim, I was planning to get battlefield 1943 but do I have to buy it again when I get my new ps3? I was also going to get the little big planet theme. Can I reinstall those things on the new ps3 by logging onto my psn account? |
pretty sure you lose ur data...unless you take out the HDD...you have to re-buy it. Anyone know if you can stream .MKV 1080p files? It says data is not supported, I was streaming thru wind mp11....or do you know a good program to convert it? |

For people who want to stream media to the ps3 easily and efficiently, use the PS3 Media Server. It's basically a program that was started by a couple of guys and in my opinion kicks the crap out of tversity. The setup is literally like 2 mins. It's supported for Windows (It can be run as a service), Linux and OSX. http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/ Basically run the setup file, and configure your share directory on your computer. You can even have movie cover art show up on your PS3. In the share directory on your computer lets say you have a Braveheart.mkv file. If you put in a braveheart.jpg you will now from the PS3 XMB see the Movie Cover to the left of the name. For transcoding bluray files its a good idea to have at least a dual core cpu. I run a dual core 5200 as one of my machines that serves out media to my ps3 and it does a perfect job with no problem. The program also acts as a file server. From your PS3, you can hit triangle on any of your movie files and save them to your ps3 as well. It can play any format you want. |
my brother went to PAX over the weekend, able to grab alot of free shit and he gave me a bunch of MAG beta vouchers, cant wait to start playing that next week with buddies.. 256 action! and no i dont have any more spares |

or your grandson will be the one playing FF 13 |
:haha::haha::haha::haha: it does takes Blizzard a very long time to develope a game, but hell most of the games they release are a hit |
^every single online game they released has been gold. even war2 was awesome but didnt have BNET to launch it into massive success till years after the game got old. |
Warcraft 2 was still a hit, regardless of having b.net or not. |
