Speaking of Night vision. I remember the first consumer Sony camcorders with nightshot (night vision) could see through clothes. :lol Fun times!:D |
Got myself a Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 stick imported instead for under 110CDN, and I'm enjoying it. Waiting for the Sanwa buttons and a new balltop to arrive. :) Though, I'm wondering if anyone know where I can find springs for the arcade sticks within LM? Specifically for Sanwa JLF, which uses an half-inch wide spring. (Neither Home Depot nor Rona carries springs of that size) |
Anyone planning to buy the PS3 slim? :) |

^ we can probably expect one in november when the ps3 is roughly half-way through its cycle.. |
isnt sony still losing money on every PS3 they sell? |
Just game shared BF1943 the other day. And since i've been playing on my 32 inch CRT I cant even see the friggen words/players since they designed the game for an HDTV and holy jesus at the bugs with the mics. Its on and off in terms of when it wants to work and when it doesn't. Reminiscent of BF BC days. |

I highly suggest MLB The Show 09. The RTTS (Road to the Show) mode is awesome, and this coming from a non baseball fan. Being able to set batting music and homerun music is pretty sweet too. You can use custom playlists and pick any part of the song as music for your homerun or walk to the plate. You can even record in custom chants with the mic and the game will implement them into the crowd. You can make specific ones and tie to them players as well. The mode I play (RTTS), you're not playing a full game of baseball (who has time for that). you're basically taking all your at bats in the game. When you're fielding, you only see the plays that you're involved in. Example, I'm a 1st baseman so I'm in plays quite the bit (throws from 2nd, SS etc). You can be any position you want. If you're an outfielder a game will take you a bit less time to complete. On average a game is about 15 to 20 minutes, sometimes less My first year I started spring training for the Mariners, got sent to AAA (West Tennesee Diamond Jaxx) and finished a whole year there, starting this season in AA now (Tacoma Rainers). If you're looking for a different game to play that actually is pretty intense, pick this game up. The graphics and gameplay are top notch You collect points during the game that go towards career advancement. For example, a double will gain you 10 points, a single 5 points. Homerun 30 points, RBI's 10 points and so on. You get points for hitting streaks, game changing scenario's and so on. You lose points for a strikeout, example 10 points. 2 strikeouts you lose more and so on. At the end of the game you get a summary of your stats and your final point totals. From there you're able to advance your stats such as Hitting vs RHP and LHP, fielding ability, power, and so on. The game is done really well. There's advancement challenges as well. It gives you a challenge such as "In the next 2 weeks, get on base X amount of times, hit a certain percentage and improve your power and contact against RHP. The more challenges you complete, the quicker the call up to AA or the majors. |

A buddy and I here at work were just talking about how sony could boost sales of the ps3. They should make a ps3 with no blu ray or wifi/internet hook up. Pretty much a bare bone system and make a wifi adaptor and shit for it and sell it for $99. I bet tons of people would buy it. Most of the consumer thats buy systems for their kids dont know shit so if they see a $99 price tag they would jump on it. Also a network for paid subscribers and non paying. I hate it when I play a game and the fool d/c because they're getting killed. I know I would pay $5 a month to get someone who actually would play and possible not d/c. I know that wouldnt solve the d/c problem but I think you would see "higher quality" type players because they are paying. Just my 2 cents. |
^ that whole thing would fail for several reasons 1) the games are on blu ray. so how do you run games with no blu ray drive? I know, lets just sit in front of the TV and imagine that we're playing games. 2) the wifi portion of the system's cheap as hell, wouldn't make a difference. It would probably cost them more to redesign the circuitboard and change the factory than to just leave it in. 3) paid online would be stupid, you can't stop people from disconnecting and you'll get the exact same jackasses online if you have to pay. One of the PS3's draws is the free online play and by adding a fee all you're doing is losing the draw, and not solving anything because it's beyond the control of Sony. |
