hey guys, i'm having a problem with one of my divx movies. the ps3 displays the movie length as 4 seconds when it's actually a 700mb file that's just over an hour and a half, but it only plays the first 4 seconds. haha anyone have any ideas?

^ sweet I have a smiliar wheel too..but the force feedback is so fucked up when i try to play GT5P demo

thanks for the link..how much would it cost to build this set-up? (excluding the wheels, just a simple bucket set + frames)

^ i dont like that one, it's too upright for me

I have a buddy who is a welder by trade so I may get him to make it for me, or I might build it myself out of wood and paint it, i'm so much better with wood i know i could build somthing decent

Well of course, adjust the design to your liking, spec the seat to your preference and price range... just some ideas there. Check the LINKS section of that site, there are sites out there dedicated to racing sims.

Superstore was out of the 40GB ones, so we went with the 80. Got the $30 off with the coupon. Picked him up a copy of Folklore as well. Looks f'n SWEET at 1080p on the 42" plasma (despite the burned-in WestJet logo - oh well, it was FREE )

Got it online and the first thing it wanted to do was download the 2.1 update. Then the first thing it wanted to do when he loaded Folklore was download an update for that. Ah well!

No idea, I don't do RPGs at all... the kid seems to like it though, it was on his list.

I just got the 40gb for a BD player.

Quick question, can I use ANY BRAND cable for HDMI?

(I'm currently using the official Sony HDMI cable - $69.99 at FS, but think it's way too expensive, but just grabbed the first thing I saw)

Any brand will work fine. Higher-quality ones MAY give you better quality, or at least fewer problems, but even that's debatable. A Sony-brand cable is certainly not required, though.

I need some help.

I hooked my ps3 up to my plasma yesterday using a hdmi cable and when i tried to hook it back up to my projection tv using component cables it wouldnt give me any display. I even tried to change the display settings back to component before I unhooked the ps3 from the hdmi cable.

^ Put your ps3 in standby mode (with the red light on). Then press and hold the power button for five seconds until you hear a beep. This will reset the PS3's display output.

woohoo got my ps3 4 days ago, and i noticed on futureshop.ca that they had a new bundle that included

80G PS3
1 DVD remote
2 Games (Virtua Fighter 5, and something else)

too bad the deal is over now, i had to buy a 2nd ps3, going to return the "old" one tommorow for a refund!

so far i am VERY impressed with this system i love how easy it was to connect to my wireless router and how easy it is to play online games

errr have you hooked your ps2 online or your xbox before? or even owned a 360? they pretty much the same

but right now, my suggestion is for great online experience is Warhawk, Unreal Tournament 3 and of course COD4

aren't they supposed to give you a percentage of the difference off as well rather than just matching the price? Also, the Dell bundle came with the Blu-Ray movie Spiderman 3.
