I'm famously not a fanboy of either console (or a fanboy of both, depending on whether you're a fanboy or not). To be honest, 2 of those 4 games you mentioned that are as good on the PS3 are pretty much the only 2 that DO play as well on that console. Oblivion is the only other one that comes to mind.

That is why most people will simply assume that a game is going to play better on the 360. About 98% of the multiplatform titles that have been released in the last year play far better on the 360. Can you blame someone for thinking that most new games will as well?

Of course, development is starting to improve on the PS3, especially from Japanese studios where the PS3 is populat (only because the 360 is so unpopular).

I'm not saying that this game or that game is definitely better on the 360. But more often than not it's the safest bet if you're not sure.

Just watched the Gametrailers video and it is really hard to tell ANY difference between the two systems, they both simply look really good. looks like it will be a good pick up on either console.

We shall find out. Right now I am hating the 360 version. RB on the 360 controller is really bad for locking on.

P.S, angry non fanboy: I will take real time demo comparison over a video anytime. GT is famous for not adjusting the RGB option in PS3 in those comparison videos hence tuning the PS3's quality.

If you read Japanese,

there are sites where both consoles are using HDMI output, and guess what, another rumor that is created by Japanese 360 fanboy I guess.

MS is really paying everyone to photoshop the PS3 quality down

If you read closely, the sentence reads "Rumor has it that the 360 version has better graphic though".

By rumor, I meant "unconfirmed", so unless you somehow interpreted it as "I fucking hate the PS3 and hope it burns it hell and 360 owns", I will have to apologize because obviously we live in different worlds and English has different meanings.

I was merely stating the fact that there is a rumor out there, nothing more.

Picture comparisons are stupid and pointless. As a consumer I don't care which version wins becase I stand to gain no matter what.

I will try to get my PS3 back from MTC this Saturday and download the PS3 demo as well.

Personally, I believe I will not pick this game up as it is REALLY BAD when compared to God of War. The actions are forced and the camera angles are REALLY BAD. I actually laughed when Nero performed a fugly looking jump about 1 minute into the demo, when it was necessary to jump from a broken stairs.

I stopped playing anything related to DMC after the 1st one... it's all the same repetitive gameplay anyway and other games offer similar or better graphics. None of the DMC games can even compare to God of War 2, heck even God of War 1.

Exactly, I totally agree. The only thing i said originally was " It's a rumor, let's wait for the final game before making judgments". Then a picture comparison was posted in response to my statement, implying that the rumor is in fact, TRUE.

That's what ticked me off.

Then when I responded to that post, the poster tried to "educate" me on my language ability but contradicted himself by saying that he DOESN'T think picture comparisons are worth anything.

HUH?

You know I'm starting to remember why I never liked RS in the first place... back in the days when ImportClassifieds.com was still around, we had way more mature and logical people there than the goofs that are roaming around this board - but that's another story and I won't go there right now

For those wondering, DMC4 is slightly better on the 360 - the PS3 requires some blurring to maintain high framerates with 2XAA enabled. Other than that, textures are the same, etc. 360 will have sharper edged overall.

sorry dude, even I have to say something about this.... you won't see any major differences if you're playing in 480i, regardless how big your screen/TV is.

You'll need at least 720p to really make a fair and accurate comparison.

Please kindly quote anything i said in that thread that would classify me as a Sony fanboy, please. Go ahead, I'm waiting. Also, please quote me from any thread where I've trashed on other consoles. I'd like to see those as well. I don't "defend" the PS3 because fuck, it's just a bunch of circuit boards and electronics. I respond only when people attack the system with nothing but biased opinions or BS rumors and I hate people that talk BS, period. I have never initiated any form of arguments with Xbox people without being provoked first. Don't believe me? Look up my posts and see if you can find anything.

It's so easy to discredit what I said by simply branding me a Sony fanboy because you have no other logical or rational rebuttal to my statements. You may have both the Box and the PS3 but that doesn't automatically make you completely neutral and unbiased.

You know what, I don't give a shit anymore. At the end of the day we're all just trying to have some fun with the latest and greatest. You keep on truckin' with whatever it is that suits you and I'll do the same.

Fuck, I never had this much trouble using one particular brand of product... not even in the Photography forum with the big Nikon vs. Canon thing. It seems like the computer and gaming section are filled with people that just simply lack any sense of logic or rationale to have any engaging conversions with.

Enjoy gaming, that's the bottom line. Between my PC and the PS3 I get all the gaming I'll ever need so the Xbox doesn't interest me that much - but that's just me. If you have all 3 consoles + PC then hey, good for you. This IS a PS3 thread afterall, where people talk PS3 stuff and related news. It only goes downhill when Xbox people come in here and start trashing PS3 games around like they're worthless POS. Do I ever post in the Xbox thread? the Wii thread? NO. Why? because they don't interest me and I have no reason to trash something I'm not interseted in, and I have no reason to argue with their perspective owners on whether their consoles are better/worse than the competitors. So why is it so hard for you to do the same? What happened to that "PS3 vs. Xbox - 1 year after" thread? Let's bring that up and look at how you ended the conversation - oh that's right, you called me a Sony fanboy because I stated MY reasons for why and how I ended up with MY decision.

to get back on topic.... I'm still waiting for reviews for the final verdict on this DMC 4 thing... so we shall see whether the PS3 version is worse, or just different than the Xbox version.

Just bought a PS3 yesterday. Got it from Best Buy with the 2 Tom Clancy games. I got everything hooked up, but i haven't been able to hook up the wireless internet. Didn't realize so many problems tryin to hook up to Linksys routers (mines WRT54G). Anyone else have this problem before? I've googled and tried the Linksys website and couldn't find a solution that worked.

im using the exact same routor and have no problem connecting, just detect, put in the network password and your good to go
