I bought a Vivitar 283 Flash to play with... $30 - whatever, can't complain! Probably going to get 2 x Vivitar 285's to go with it. Funnily enough - I have an inkling that it's older than I am.... hahaha. |
FUCK. First my MBP took a crap, now my 7D won't recognize my battery. Still works, but now I can't see how much battery life it has, it just shows up blank on the display. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=870455 Seems to have happened to others, with no fix. So what's my next electronic to crap out? I'm guessing my cell ...sigh. |
insane lens with incredible DOF... I want one!! |
This photographer combines still photos with just a hint of movement. Pretty crazy stuff. http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lj...yuguo1_500.gif http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lj...cq51o1_500.gif http://fromme-toyou.tumblr.com/tagged/cinemagraph/ |

I kinda feel that I've photographed most places in Vancouver. I was in Toronto earlier in the month, and WOW what a large city with a HUGE variety of places to photograph. Anyone have any ideas on what else to photograph in Lower Mainland that might not be so well known? |
I'm always trying to find new places to shoot in Vancouver too heh |
That's hard to say with knowing where you've shot so far in Vancouver. Have you tried street shooting in the various little neighbourhoods? Places like Commercial Drive, Yaletown, Main & Broadway, Granville Island, South Granville, the streets surrounding Nat Bailey Stadium, etc... Where did you shoot in Toronto? I especially love the Distillery District. I'll be in Winnipeg in 2 weeks for a photographer's conference for a few days, so hopefully there will be something interesting there besides snow & mosquitoes. Posted via RS Mobile |
So who shot the Sunset around 8ish. It was freak'in HUGE and RED! and clear of any obstacles! |
Damn, I missed it....watching American Idol. |
Senna you watch American Idol???? |
It's a guilty pleasure... |
so i said screw it and made my own ring light to 72mm thread adapter. too hard to find in town and too long to wait for online. i bought a used 72mm UV filter, smashed the glass out and epoxied a step down "doughnut" which i then attached an old collapsible rubber lens hood which i modified to fit. http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...1/05/epoxy.jpg this gave me a connector to the lens and a connector to the ring light. http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...05/profile.jpg the ring light "grabs" the adapter with four retractable "fingers" , hence the ridged side on the adapter. http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...gflashback.jpg you don't see much of it once it's in use anyways. http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...5/attached.jpg |
