The D400 is pretty much a certainty, but I highly doubt it'll be an FX sensor.

"You could say that this is the perfect USB flash drive for existing EOS 5D Mark II owners. We'd argue, however, that this is the perfect USB flash drive for those looking to just live vicariously while not shattering the bank. 'Course, $129.99 for a 4GB USB key is pretty absurd, but at least that gets you Live View and a 1080p movie mode. Er, wait..."

Senna4ever 03-28-2009 12:17 AM

^^^ That's awesome.

Does anyone in Vancouver match online prices for lenses? I found the new Nikkor 35mm f1.8 for 250 at mostlydigital.ca compared to 280 locally. They do have a B&M store but it's in Ontario.

5D, 24-70 f/2.8, 580ex for $800.

The guy bumped the price up to $1500, but it's still a good deal!

i'd pick it up, but i have no money :(

As far as I know, no one will price match online stores because by the time you pay for shipping, the amount of money you spend will be roughly the same in many cases.

The Nikon 35mm f1.8 is backordered for the next 1 or 2 months. Nikon Canada presently has a backorder for 1500 units. I don't expect to have any in stock until the end of April at the earliest.

At the same time you avoid paying PST which, at least in this case, is roughly the same as the cost of shipping.

What if I were to go about buying from the US? Will Nikon Canada honour a US warranty?

Thanks for the heads up on your inventory Senna.

Newtown 04-01-2009 11:08 PM

NM, just googled and found they do not.

Senna4ever 04-01-2009 11:29 PM

Nikon Canada will not even touch a non-Canadian Nikon product, even if you offer to pay for any repair or estimation.

davidhtam 04-02-2009 05:50 AM

Hey senna, you shoot sony, right?

My cousin is selling off some of his Konica Minolta stuff if you're interested in any of it.

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pho/1103317334.html

He just got an a900 and i think he wants to upgrade to some CZ stuff.

Alatar 04-02-2009 07:29 AM

The craigslist ad for the 5D, 580ex, 24-70 f2.8 is a scam. Just to let you guys know.

davidhtam 04-02-2009 07:50 AM

yeah i saw the reply to the post. Too good to be true :(

His asking prices for the 135mm f2.8 & 70-210 f4 are highway robbery. Those are very sought after lenses though...still sharp as hell. He shouldn't have any problems getting a buyer online. Tell him to try www.dyxum.com.

Is your cousin a studio fashion or landscape shooter? The a900 is probably one of the best cameras for those styles.

Where's the best place to buy memory cards?

Costco? US?
