bro i think the "5th leg" is just the "under" girl's leg coming up and that's her knee (beside "top" girl's heel), and then proceeds downwards with her other leg behind

no alien fun here

Go easy on him, he hasn't seen half naked ladies in a while...

niforpix 04-25-2010 10:04 PM

I didn't think legs could bend that way.

I need to pick up a 77mm Circular Polarizer in the next week. Are there any local stores that have better pricing on filters? the difference between online and local seems pretty silly.

Apparently, the Nikon factories that manufacture D3s & D3x bodies and various lenses have been damaged in the earthquake, and some employees have been injured. They are suspending operations for the forseeable future. Canon factories have also been affected, but not to the extent of the Nikon factories, although Canon says that they are suspending operations for about a month. Canon's Utsunomiya plant that makes the 'L' lenses looks like it was affected the most. :(

Meowjin 03-14-2011 03:17 AM

nikon's factory is in sendai. but wasn't affected by the tsunami.

Senna4ever 03-14-2011 12:01 PM

Well, what caused the tsunami in the first place? The Sendai plant sustained earthquake damage - at least that's what is written on their home page.

Tsunami-leveled City Sendai Home to Major Nikon Manufacturing Plant

Quote:

The massive 8.9-magnitude earthquake that devastated Japan today was located just east of the city of Sendai, which subsequently suffered major damage due to the resulting tsunami. What you might not know is that the city is home to Nikon’s flagship manufacturing facility — the plant that produces Nikon’s professional DSLRs (e.g. D3s, D3x and D700). Fortunately, Nikon reports that there have been no reports of injuries among its employees in that city, and the plant seems to have escaped serious damage as well.

Other camera manufacturers, including Canon and Panasonic, had their factories affected by the earthquake as well. Still, any economic loss experienced is nothing compared to the horrific loss of life and livelihood experienced by countless people today, so please keep the people of Japan in your thoughts and prayers.
Looks like it was damaged.

Meowjin 03-15-2011 02:28 AM

Jason, any word on when the x100 is coming and price? I'll buy one asap.

Senna4ever 03-15-2011 02:32 AM

We got an e-mail from Fuji Canada this morning, and the factory that makes the X100 was damaged, and also the cameras that were ready to ship were also damaged. No non-JDM X100's were shipped before the quake, so shipping to the rest of the world is delayed at least a month - probably late April, but no definite date. The first and second shipments to Canada are currently sold out, so you're probably looking at late May or June (just my guess) for a new one.

Meowjin 03-15-2011 02:49 AM

Jason. I've been without a camera for 15 months now. If you can get me one sooner let me know ASAP.

Thank you :)

LiquidTurbo 03-15-2011 05:15 AM

Isn't it going to be like $1000?

Meowjin 03-15-2011 02:42 PM

Yes and worth every penny. Unless nikon releases their evil camera soon.

Highly unlikely. We have about 20 people on the waiting list with paid deposits.

$1199. The contract with Fuji dictates that no one can sell lower than that price.

A nice collection of pictures of the Discovery Shuttle - some from it's last mission, but others from it's older missions

Who's ready with their telephoto Lenses for the Supermoon. It will be super BRIGHT, bright than usual. Hopefully it's bigger than the one I saw 3 weeks ago where it was Low/Yellow-Orange. Moon rises at 8:02pm tonight, hopefully not too many clouds.
