Oh shit there's a director's cut? I don't suppose they acknowledged Eazy E's solo career did they?

etodac 01-11-2016 10:31 PM

Star Wars VII: 8/10

I don't have a good recollection of the trilogies so going into this movie pretty blind, I was impressed and the characters are exciting.

no...and the fall of the group still felt quite rushed even with the extra 20 minutes

Totally how I felt as well. No mention of Eazy's solo career however there was a concert performance of We Want Eazy which is on his debut album. Deleted scenes included a Compton's in the House concert performance as well. For a theatrical movie(ie: not a documentary), F. Gary Gray did an excellent job capturing the "feeling" and "mood" of that era.

The Revenant - 7.5/10
- going in with too high expectations may have ruined it for me, but still best-picture worthy

GLOW 01-13-2016 08:21 AM

straight outta compton 8/10

Carol. 7/10.

fuck, lesbo movies are so boring. great acting and great costume design, but that's about it. they tried to make a little "twist" / perspective at the end but didn't really do anything for me.

In HK this was a movie on big screen: sherlock the abominable bride 8/10

it wasn't bad, character development was great but flashback was like wtf. ending could have been much better (for the movie); the conclusion of the mystery was fine.

white rocket 01-15-2016 01:50 PM

Chappie 6/10 - It was OK. Nothing ground breaking. Kind of expected more but felt it had the same flavor as other Blomkamp movies. The concept was executed decently. Worth the watch but don't go in with any expectations.

I would watch it again just for the car jacking scenes. I was dying I was laughing so hard.

The Martian 9.5/10
What an amazing movie. It was funny, sad, happy and exciting. I'm not a matt Damon fan, but damn this movie was good

Pagani 01-16-2016 10:22 AM

Spectre: 6/10 - I didn't think this one was that great compared to the previous ones. Even the intro theme didn't seem James Bond like to me like the previous movies.

Scorch Trials

6/10 predictable movie. The movie went in so many directions. The acting was good but it's really not as captivating as Maze Runner

subordinate 01-16-2016 11:13 AM

Star Wars 7/10 (If you take away the eye-candy, the movie felt, ehh, 7 because of memories)

The Martian 8/10 (I felt it dragged a bit long)

Revenant 7.5/10 (great scenes and thought Tom Hardy was a fantastic supporting cast)

white rocket 01-16-2016 12:03 PM

Sicario 8/10 - great drama and acting. Music matched the intense drama very well. Kind of slow paced though. Worth the watch for sure.

Predestination
Scifi mind bender dealing with time travel
7/10

EndLeSS8 01-17-2016 10:40 PM

Django Unchained

7/10

agreed, 9.5/10. such a solid flick and a must watch for everyone.

Sicario - 8/10

SkinnyPupp 01-18-2016 08:19 AM

Spectre 6/10

It exceeded my expectations by quite a bit, but it's still no more than a 6 for me. The last 1/3rd was especially dull

The way the lead female character is portrayed is like they made this movie in 2005 and released it last year. 007 is outdated in so many ways, but this was the most noticeable for me.

Ride Along 2: 8/10
Laugh's were had by all, check your brain at the door and enjoy the show.

krazynuck 01-22-2016 09:34 AM

Dirty Grandpa - 7/10

I thought it was pretty funny... Predictable though
