Hey guys, couple more questions regarding exhaust for you (last ones, I swear!). Just want to look at all my options.

Would 2.5 all the way, no cats just be ridiculously loud and obnoxious?

Would it be a waste to keep the stock cats and just get a custom catback made, seeing as how the stock cats are really resrictive? Although they are fairly new I believe, so they probably aren't clogged atleast.

Just curious about those 2 setups cause they'd be nice and cheap. :D

If you wanna very loud exhaust, get BuddyClub Spec II.
They are ULTRA loud.

Or an Apex'i N1 with straight pipe. 10 minutes of WOT will give you a splitting headache

Have any of you guys seen the guy with the gray FD that cruises around the peninsula area? He's got dual exhaust, etc. What's the story on that guy?

I don't want a super loud exhaust, but I'll put up with a moderatley loud exhaust if it'll lower the price.

Well if it's who I think it is, then I've gone for a ride in that FD. My mom works with his wife. He bought the car for 18k with a blown engine from Van. It was also rear-ended just the other day.

BuddyClub SpecII exhaust is ULTRA loud, but it is cheaper than other exhaust systems and it is VERY HIGH QUALITY!!!
They will give you silencer(as you can see in the picture) if you don't like ULTRA loud, but once you take your silencer off, it is scary...

yo 8track, for an exhaust take it to an exhaust shop get them to make a 2.5 pipe from the manafold back to where your exhaust/muffler will be (go single!) and jsut get a muffler like mine.. it wont be much louder then mine and sound sweet! oh i have a Ractive Muffler i think with 6" tip... i can find the product number if u want that one... that should be good for exhaust.. and if u want a good shop i have one down here that did the work on my car, prob can get u a deal!

I would not recommend ractive exhaust.
It just doesn't look right for RX-7.
ractive has no Racing feedback. It won't give any power at all.
Go for something like HKS, Blitz, Greddy, BuddyClub, Apexi, Pettit Racing, RacingBeat, Kakimoto, RE Amemiya...
