Wow, I didn't miss much while I was away eh?

So I've got the engine back home and in my basement. Sweet.

I also got 81 strut housings rotors and pads for the same low price of $175. Might be a week or 2 until I have the free time to do the struts....or it might be this week. I'm getting pretty antsy.

Cool.Those struts are a pain to change.I should know.Thankfully I will only have to do it once on this car.

What did you do to your engine?

Yeah, I'll probably walk them to the shop down the street and have them ratlle off the tops. It's not worth the hassel.

The engine? Mine's still fine. This is my spare/porting bitch. If and when mine blows up I'll have a backup at the ready, that way I won't have to take a shitty deal due to time constraints.


Who am I kidding? We all know that as soon as it's ported and rebuilt I'll swap it in and keep the other as the spare

:lol I cut the tops of the stocker struts and ground the end so its flat on opposite sides to loosen the top strut nut.The lower struts nut(like 52mm)you need a monkey wrench for it.I tried a actual wrench and it just starts to round off.

Oh yeah, I totally meant to brag about my tank of gas on the Tofino run. I filled 'er up in Nam, and most of you can get the idea on the way I drive. 428 km's, yep that's right 26.5 mpg. Apparently the best mileage comes from highway/racing tanks. Boo ya.

The Lordco account strikes again. Ordered my struts yesterday, guy cut me a smoking deal. Tokico Blues 80 bucks per side. Waaaay below my max 30% discount. Hell Racing Beat has them listed at 76USD per side, no tax no shipping no border fees. Score. Here tommorow.

A fuckin bird took the BIGGEST shit on my car this morning. Luckily it landed on the gay wing on the back of my car. But it was HUGE! And had bits of green and black and white in it. Fuckin rancid. And I had just washed it last night and totally cleaned up the outside, so ghey. Good thing it was still moist and I sprayed it off with the hose and all of it came off.

Anyways....looking forward to days off coming up.
