Seriously though, I am going to start taking this motor apart and cleaning it piece by piece....just gotta get a 2 1/8 or 54 mm socket for the damn flywheel. Hopefully IO can figure a way to do it without buying a flywheel stopper. Time for me to... Search noObi3 !!

Go to the mazda dealership and ask to use their breaker bar! its about 4 feet and when i borrowed mine they gave me a flywheel stopper too.

I gave em 100 bucks and they let me use it for a day.

You my friend, got jewed on that deal. The stopper bar is $22USD from RB and the wrench/long bar is $32. I think I have a large enough breaker bar, and I now plan to make my own stopper bar from a piece of 6'x2"x1/8" metal and drill 2 holes in the appropriate spot.


Tyler and I should really set the club up as a legitimate business, so we can start buying tools for the "shop" and writing them off. One day.

engine of mine is almost dead.. T2 swap on the way. Progressive is looking for the J-spec for me.. A plain J-Spec is going in no rebuild i am going to get one with godo compression to start with.. Ordered yesterday RB 3" DP ... FCD.. Few gaskets.. Boost gauge.. On the way Turbo XS MBC and BOV.. I guess I need 4 720cc injectors.. and hopefully i can get a flywheel clutch combo before it all goes in.. then im set.. i dont think Ill be doing the microtech after all i just need 300-350hp and i can do that fine with what ill have :) so ill let you know how this goes as progess progresses

What are you doing for EFI?Standalone or stock?Stock is a mess to do on your car because its S4.On S5's the T2 EFI is a straight swap of unplugging and replugging in the ECU's.Yours is a bit harder to pull off.You getting the T2 tranny and mounts too tyler?I have the Turbo XS MBC.Looks great.Can't wait to try it out.If I didn't have the HKS BOV I would prolly have the Turbo XS BOV too.I still have to find space infront of my car for the monster Intercooler I have.I hear it barely fits a FC.:D
