Crawford is no Jim Hughson but I enjoyed him during last night's game and I like Scott Moore's decision to have him do the Canuck games when Hughson isn't doing them.

Gh0stRider 10-10-2008 08:26 PM

that was a great tribute to Luc :(

I'll take Crawford over Greg Millen any day. btw, Jim is play by play. Crawford is colour commentary :p They still may work together... and if Crawford ever took over Hughson's role, i'd rip out the speakers on the TV :lol

hughson does play-by-play, crawford does color.

Looking forward to tomorrow night's game. Haven't watched HNIC in ages!

Crawford is a smart hockey mind but I don't think his voice or the way in which he strings sentences together is good for the broadcast. I'd rather see him doing panel stuff where he's asked his opinion on players or a game not doing color off the cuff.

Anyway that's just my opinion.

Or its a contract year and he wants a fat one. I remember him in his early days as a Canuck and he was fricken awesome. After his eye injury he played less physically and it just seemed he lost a bit of his offensive ability. He transitioned into more of a position d-men and lost some of that flare.

I doubt Ohlund plays like this the rest of season. There's just something about him and Iginla that gets him jacked. It goes back to the 04 playoffs series between the Nucks and Flames.

ANyone know where to download or watch last game? I want to see it agian it was EPIC

Ronin 10-11-2008 02:15 AM

Hmmm...$3.25m is a bit too much for Edler's first real contract. I would've been a lot happier signing him for $2-$2.5m but there's little doubt that he'll be a fixture on the blueline for awhile.

willystyle 10-11-2008 02:19 AM

^ he would be all worth it on this 3rd and final year of his contract.

Brashear welcoming Bogosian to the NHL

hi5-ive 10-11-2008 03:12 AM

Welcome to NHL boy! but yeah 18yr old lol...ya...

ww 10-11-2008 09:22 AM

I know it's the NHL and all but that's just cowardly by Brashear. If you really want to welcome an 18 year old to the league you should do it jan bulis style on Jack Johnson lol.

Probably slightly too much. However, considering at the end of the season he was probably gonna get offer sheets thrown at him in the 3.9 range anyways. Detroit was agressively after him last year as well and other teams have big interest in him. That being said, 3.5 is a good deal. Love the term too with 4 years.

Vansterdam 10-11-2008 12:18 PM

Terms kinda suck because after his contract is over he's eligible for UFA right away. 3 years would have been better since he'd still be RFA.
