Fuck Yeah!

Ch28 10-11-2008 09:01 PM

LOL @ Demitra screaming out "MOTHERFUCKER!!!" with his arms in the air after scoring

marc0lishuz 10-11-2008 09:02 PM

WOOO HOOO!!! http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/image...ome/woowoo.gif

MG1 10-11-2008 09:03 PM

YES!!!!!!!!

Slapped around they were, but they still win!

Burrows!!!!!!! Nice charge to the net.

carisear 10-11-2008 09:03 PM

SEE, put demitra with anyone but pyatt!!! YES!

6thGear. 10-11-2008 09:03 PM

what an insult to injury that burrows did. haha

b0unce. [?] 10-11-2008 09:03 PM

Wooooooooo

cdizzle_996 10-11-2008 09:03 PM

Fucking rights! Good, game, good fights, and to battle back from 3-1 is great!

GO CANUCKS GO

mako 10-11-2008 09:03 PM

looks like Burrows fanned on his shot ... straight to Demitra's stick

murd0c 10-11-2008 09:04 PM

I can't fricken stand pyatt they so have to trade him.

lilaznviper 10-11-2008 09:06 PM

that was an EPIC OWNAGE coming back from behind

sil-300 10-11-2008 09:08 PM

Great comeback... Pyatt was better today, but he still lacks the speed and skill to keep up with Raymond and Demitra. Lets hope he continues to improve.

Things that stood out in my observation:

I <3 Salo. I'm glad we didn't get rid of him. Though he isn't scoring, he's been trigger happy at the blue.

I <3 Burrows. Fuckin' diamond in the rough. May not be known as a tough guy or a skill player but damn that work ethic  And I'm not just talking about the game winning assist, but the almost-goal set ups to Rypien and almost Game-Winning-Assist to Ohlund.

d1 10-11-2008 09:09 PM

It's so nice to see a comeback win. Last year we could never come back after being down 1-3

Ch28 10-11-2008 09:10 PM

Bertuzzi's elbow to Sedin in the 3rd was kinda weird. You'd think that playing with a guy for so many years would help to curb that stuff.

Looked like a goal either way

And the Jan Bulis Award goes to... Pya... jk.

I'm on the fence on Pyatt. He's not a bad player, just seems awkward to me. He's a big guy but tries to play like a skill player with his rush & dangle attempts.

It's like watching Shaq trying to pointguard.

mako 10-11-2008 09:14 PM

Burrows had great patience on that play

him and Kesler are gold

punkwax 10-11-2008 09:16 PM

Past 10PM. Suppose its past Mugen's bed time.

Anyhoo. Awesome game. Didn't count out the Nucks early on and we came back to win.

Definitely a shit game by Demitra but all is forgotten now.

Go Nucks.

ienhz 10-11-2008 09:17 PM

Burrows is awesome. Loved that guy since the 06-07 season.

I can't believe that we battled back from being down 2 goals. I think the Sedins work best when we're ahead or it's equal, but they seem to give up when we're down. Good thing we have a 3rd and 4th line that never gives up. Rypien's fight was OWNAGE.

Raymond needs to work on his balance or something. He's falling all over the place out there... Pyatt is just.. I dunno, I want him to be useful on the 2nd line but I'm starting to think that Hansen or Wellwood would be better suited there.

And Demitra's goal celebration was awesome... would never see that from Naslund.

MG1 10-11-2008 09:23 PM

It was like a heavy weight fight. Toe to toe, exchanging blows. Our guys came up with the knock out punch.

How often do you see a team beat Luongo that many times? Offence........ we have some offence and grit this year. Like Milbury said, "This is a new Canucks team. They are going to go far with this kind of grit." (somehting like that)

That's two games in a row of playing with so much energy. This was like a pretty important game for Calgary. They came out for blood after being run out of GM Place. Coming back from being down by two goals in a hostile environment - lots of character from our team. Go, Canucks, Go..........

Who's next up? I'd like to see the Sandman in goal. Not that Luongo played poorly, but Luongo should get some rest this year. If Luongo sits out a game for whatever reason, who puts on the "C", or do you just leave it be?

murd0c 10-11-2008 09:26 PM

whos next up? playing the caps on monday w00t

if luongo sits out for a game, then either kesler, ohlund, or michell will don the "C" for that game. rules state that a captain must be present at the start of the game or something like that.

MG1 10-11-2008 09:29 PM

Burrows is a committed player. He worked his ass off this summer. He gave up ball hockey and just worked out. Last year, he was like the most efficient player (dollar for dollar vs performance). Sign this guy for a long term now. I think he's an honourable, hard working guy who deserves to be treated with respect.
