Can anyone tell me why a penalty shot was awarded? I just so happen to be looking down at my food to eat when I was watching the game at the restaurant, and the volume wasn't turned up loud enough so I couldn't hear the commentators at all.

All I saw was something happening on the Canucks' defensive zone with a stray stick lying on the ice. Can someone explain?

apparently shooting a fallen stick on the ice towards the puck carrier is a penalty even though the puck carrier is not in a scoring position. who knew??

Lu made a beautiful save in the 2nd when the score was 2-1 but unfortunately he let in the 3rd goal just a few seconds later and it was downhill after that.

Good thing I missed the game. It must've hurt to watch it in full HD glory. One good thing that came out of it..... Sandman got a chance to play. I tells ya, he's good. Let's hope we don't see any more games like that one. The next team we face ain't pansies, either.

lol, it's hilarious how when Canucks win, there's like 3 or 4 pages full of posts. But when Canucks lose, there's like half a page. :(
