Luongo will never be the same again. Oh well. Tough to be a Canucks fan right now. I usually wear the jersey to work after a loss and when times get tough. Not this time. I'm not proud to be a Canucks fan right now. For some reason, I can't get into the Giants. Damn you, Canucks!

Still doesn't look like he's 100%, although he says other wise.

I wouldn't be as worried if we weren't on this horrible slide..

I'll be REALLY worried if Luongo stays unluongo like in 2 weeks.

Sundin should have shot 2nd. What a depressing finish to this one..

ugh

HSK 01-18-2009 08:48 PM

Sad ending...

I hope the canucks get their game together quick.

Armind 01-18-2009 08:54 PM

Those 2 wide open net goals are nerve racking. Bieska was out of his game.

SIGH

Not to break balls, but why the hell not?! They are a rediculously hard working team (more than I can say for the Canucks), and the games, action wise IMO are much better. I've always felt more satisfied coming out of a Giants game this season than I have for the Canucks. WHL is great hockey to watch...Not to mention the Giants are kicking everyone's ass.

hotjoint 01-18-2009 09:32 PM

another loss..... *sigh*

i have a feeling we will be repeating last year....

probably going to miss another playoff year again

sigh

Half way through the season....relax people relax!

Doesn't look good...but if the Flames can beat the Sharks in San Jose and then lose to the Yotes (regardless of the excuses Keenan gave after the game) it just shows that teams have their ups and down....

After the Sharks - Canucks have 1 week off to get their minds of the hockey and just relax, party, whatever they have to do to get the edge off.

After the Preds and the Wild - that Feb 3rd game against Carolina is when I will begin being critical of this team ...By then they should have their whole lineup in tact...

Hopefully Salo will rejoin the team cause he makes that first good pass out of the zone...If by then they don't have it together.......FUCK MY LIFE!

Only bright spot tonight was the fact the Canucks came back from 5-3 after blowing the 3-1 lead. I think it's safe to say it's going to be a tough road to the playoffs but anything can happen between now and the last game of the season.

Maybe it's because I've been a Canuck fan since they themselves were in the WHL. The last minor league team I really got into was the New West Bruins. Punch McLean era.

I think things should turn around after the all-star game, I though the forwards played well today but Luongo and some of the D men sucked.

He's -4. That's the only one that's important.

That's to be expected. GM place replaced their previous glass panels as they offered little to no-give when players made contact on the boards. Those panels I believe are softer, but are more safer for the players.

They will stop pucks for the audience, the trade off for softer glass is just that they need to be replaced more in the event of a hard shot.

That's pure Luongo IMO but I can't fault him for it. It's his only 2nd game in. That was a wide open net because Luongo failed to track the puck from CBJ's passing game.

Nash's goal was pure Luongo's fault as well. I can't believe he found himself wayyy out of position on that one by over-committing on the shortside.

It's not worrying though. These aren't the kind of mistakes Luongo does when he's sharp and back to form.

Werd, overall, I'm actually glad how this went. Canucks are back to scoring 5 goals per game again like they did at the beginning of the season. Canucks are also fighting back 2 or 3 goal deficits like they did at the beginning of the season as well.

They're not back 100% of what they used to be, but the signs are looking good.

goo3 01-19-2009 02:03 AM

There's fewer goals this time of year and usually it gets tighter down the stretch. At least they were crashing the net more today and for the first time this year, i see them try to move the puck around faster on the PP.

But WTF was Hansen doing when Luongo lost his stick? All he needed to do was nudge it closer to the crease within reaching distance and get back in position. What's with him turning his back on the play and trying to pry the stick INTO Luongo's blocker? Talk about being as useful as a sack of potatoes.

And can someone tell me why Henrik is so soft? Why is he passing it through double coverage to his brother when he's 1 on 1 with the goalie? Didn't he do something similiar during the Phoenix game?

hotjoint 01-19-2009 06:46 AM

we suck....
