Yup, Blues have been pretty good of late and Canucks always have problems with them.

silk 02-08-2009 11:08 PM

i guess its a good thing, min and edm only got 1 pt each today

hi5-ive 02-08-2009 11:21 PM

min got 2 points, edm got 1 point, its a bad thing.

Harvey Specter 02-08-2009 11:23 PM

Lol, it's never a good thing when two NW teams turn a game into a 3 point game.

that is not even possible anymore.

Durrann1984 02-08-2009 11:49 PM

yeah who is that guy on the left lol

Harvey Specter 02-09-2009 12:13 AM

Would you guys prefer the NHL only awarding 2 points for the winner of OT and taking out the 1 point for making it into OT? And would you prefer a lose in OT to be a straight out lose and not a OTL?

JqC 02-09-2009 12:30 AM

^^ I think they should make every game a 3 point game.

Regulation win = 3 points
OT win = 2 points
OT loss = 1 point

This way, the number of points distributed every season stays the same.

I just start watching hockey this season.. wanted to confirm few questions
Points,
Regulation win 2-0
OT 2-0
SO 2-1 ? Correct me if im wrong

When do people start putting on PLAYOFF Flag on the car ? I know it should be put up when its the playoff season, but I see people usually do it like 1 month before playoff ?

Regulation Win 2 Pts
Regulation Loss 0 Pts
Overtime Win 2 Pts
Overtime Loss 1 Pts

Overtime includes the extra 5 mins and the shootout.

You're wrong :D

During the regular season:
The winner in regulation gets two points, the loser gets none.

If a game is tied after regulation, both teams get a point, and they go to a 5-minute, 4-on-4 overtime. If a team scores in OT, they win and collect an extra point.

Until a few years ago, if the game was still tied after a 5-minute OT, the game ended with both teams getting a single point. More recently though, they've added the shootout (which has been common in international play for ages). The winner of the shootout then wins the game and collects the extra point.

In the playoffs, games tied after regulation continue 5-on-5 until someone scores.

Well if it's strictly a PLAYOFF flag, you should wait until your team is actually IN the playoffs. If it's just a team-logo flag, you can have it up year-round :)

Edit: actually, much further back, if memory serves, an overtime loss also meant 0 points - the only way you came out with a single point was to have the game still tied after OT.

Its not either Sundin or Sundstrom on the left.

Heres another pic of Forsberg as a kid, in a nucks jersey lol

Another of Naslund and Forsberg

Expresso 02-09-2009 12:41 PM

From reading awhile back, someone mentioned it was Tommy Salo?

Is this a pic of a pre-game warm up? I'd assume so since Sundin's going the wrong way?

Well Naslund sure looks the same. You can tell it's Forsberg from his distinctive eyes. But I guess even on CDC, people are trying to figure out who the guy on the left is...

Razor Ramon HG 02-09-2009 02:32 PM

Don't think it's Tommy Salo, he has bushier eyebrows and a thicker nose.

The guy on the top left in the 2nd picture reminds me of Brad Pitt.

Hondaracer 02-09-2009 03:14 PM

imo i would think it's obviously not sundin based purely on age

AzNightmare 02-09-2009 05:20 PM

Sundin's only 2 years older than Naslund and Forsberg.
That guy on the left does look a bit older.
Although I'm not saying if that's Sundin or not.
But thought I'll just say that Sundin is not that much older.

(Wow, Forbserg is only 10 days older than Naslund)

mako 02-09-2009 06:09 PM

the only way we'll know is if somebody asks Sundin

Hondaracer 02-09-2009 06:14 PM

ahh i thought mats was older then that/them

Wow, the Habs have turned into the Canucks but I feel so bad for Price. He look like he was going to cry Sat night.

I thought so too. Feels like either the coach, or the media is riding him hard for the recent losses.
