^ fun to watch, sucks to be leaf fan

Can't blame toskala for that. It was a bouncing puck and bounced unexpectedly at the very end.

He could have gotten infront of the puck but that may have led to a rebound. Better than a goal but it still would have made him look bad.

Noir 04-09-2009 10:11 AM

The Vesa Toskala goal can't be helped.

Vesa's goal was a wierd one. It was a bouncing knuckler which changed direction on the last bounce. But on the shot itself he was squared up perfectly until the the last second change of trajectory. Wierd, but he played it right.

InvisibleSoul 04-09-2009 10:35 AM

Yeah... you call that a bad bounce. In this case, it's about the same as baseball players fielding ground balls... every once awhile, even the best shortstops will have one get past them because of a bad bounce.

Even getting 4 playoff tickets together from ticketmasater once they turned the corner and started squeaking into the playoffs wasn't that hard.

haha yeah didn't watch any live games during the messier era

Werd. One of the most difficult things for a hockey fan is the 1 week gap between the end of reg. season and Game 1 of Play Offs.

You just want it to start now!

Spotted Alex Burrows at a restaurant I work at (Earls in Yaletown)

I didn't get the chance to talk to him though.. He was with his gf and I didn't want to bother them. But I got to make their food! I hooked them up :)

This one?

Same idea but IIRC, Pat Kane's was lamer. It was just slide the puck forward and shoot. No spinorama sweep like the video you posted.

Anywho... that particular Shoot Out goal by Ehn looked more lucky than nice.

That's if all the season tix holders and blueline members haven't purchased them all yet.

Ticketmaster screwed up and by the time I refreshed, I lost my tix for game 1. At least I managed to get game 2.

They are holding back 1000 tickets for each game which go on sale Sat at 10:00. Still chances of getting them are slim to none.

Obsideon 04-09-2009 05:42 PM

Playoffs are just around the corner and Canucks are finally in! YEAH BABY!
Ebisu on Robson will be celebrating them getting in for the run & will be following them throughout the Playoffs (hopefully to the cup!)

Anyone that goes to eat & drink on game night will have a chance to win FREE BEER!
So now there's TWO reasons to cheer for our Vancouver Canucks!

If you can't make it to the game come watch it together!

Go Canucks Go!
