Nice choice. Awesome work and that website is a trip! lol

I am making preliminary plans for a trip to Japan in December. You know what that means! But for the first time, I will be going to a different artist. This time, I will only need to go south as far as Nagoya:

GENKO TATTOO | ギャラリー

Hope everything works out, I have wanted to go to this guy for ages

Whatitdew, who else u recommend for neo japanese work? Yeah jesse took back his word and said he start bookin in dec, so it starts march, and jeff said one time thing so ill let him do my back piece, I'm thinking andrea of trigger happy, but any other recommendations will be great

I posted this link before, but if you want good Japanese:

Japanese « Sanitary Electric Tattoo Company

whatitdew 09-27-2011 09:19 AM

CHad at Sanitary Electric is awesome and I like his traditional style japanese work better than Jeff Tams.

Clint Danroth - Craftsman

Mark or Art - Funhouse

Ken Greer - Fat City

James Acrow - personel private tattoo shop

Rob Hope - rob hope tattoos

Jesse Strong - New World Tattoo

Dan Green - Sacred Heart

Trevor Shea or Ian JansenVanBeek - Three Point Tattoo

Jesse young or Piotr barker - Six Gill Tattoo Sechelt

There is a lot of others. Jesse and Jeff are great, Jesse is one of my main artists. Its just a lot of people seem to go to whoever someone tells them to see. You should spend a lot of time checking out all the great shops in and around vancouver and you may find someone with a style you really connect with. Actually go to these shops not just look on the internet. I realize some are private and you cant just go visit.

I posted another list of artists a couple pages back aswell.

Right now I am really liking six gill tattoo these guys are amazing and its worth the travel. THey are next on my list.

Timewav3zer0 09-27-2011 06:07 PM

booked for my first session nov 5th :D...any tips for before and after?

SkinnyPupp 09-27-2011 06:13 PM

Before: get lots of sleep, have a big breakfast. If it's a long session, bring food with you as well.

After: Listen to your artist, do what he says. Don't ask us, don't google it.

Done by Kirk Sheppard @ Adrenaline on Granville

Need to get it touched up as there are some cracks of it when it was healing and scabs peeled off. (is this normal? to have lines from where the scabs peeled?)

phantom x 10-10-2011 07:37 AM
