chicks pretty hot. |
It's not huge like so many of the cool tats here - but I have wanted this one for a while now. Just got it last night, only took a few hours @ Ashlar Tattoo in Squamish. http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/q...psvvnhcypi.jpg |
Love the bold, clean lines man! Beautiful work! |
Looks great Zedbra. Congrats! |

What are your opinions on disconnected pieces? I currently have a lower leg sleeve (I posted pics a page or two ago), and really want to get a 3/4 sleeve with chest plate too but not too sure if it'll look too scattered or not. I think the only person I can think of with both a sleeve and lower leg sleeve is Messi, and I'm not really a big fan of his work.. Would love to hear some opinions from the artists in this forum too! http://bodyartguru.com/wp-content/up...eg-tattoos.jpg |
Depends on who you are asking. Ask thoese that are into body suit, it's an absolute Nono. Ask someone else they gonna tell you it doesn't matter. I'm in the doesn't matter camp. Have of my work is Chicano black and gray and I'm starting to get Japanese style pieces now. Imo if the work is good it will look good. A good artist will also know to work with your existing work. Or are you talking about having one leg sleeve and one arm sleeve? Not entirely sure. But if it looks weird after you have it done. Do the other leg and the other arm too. Problem solved |
who cares? do what you like, in the end you can always connect em i had 1 guy do my half sleeve and another to extend it to quarter, and now currently workin on my full chest from another artist, planning to sick with that artist for my next 3 quarter but going to someone else for my back |
I don't see anything wrong with disconnected pieces, although the only look I'm not really a fan of is the seemingly randomly scattered individual pieces that are all spaced out (hard to describe or find a pic of it). At the end of the day the quality of the work is more important than personal preference on the style IMO. Realistically though it's your body and your style, do whatever the heck makes you happy and fuck the haters. |
The answer is: do whatever you want. Everyone has their own tastes. For me personally, a collection of pieces looks way better than large scale pieces like a full arm sleeve or back piece, etc. That's just me though, do what you like. |
It's fine. If you want to get an arm sleeve then don't make yourself get a full torso piece just to attach them together. Are you thinking of getting it on the opposite side of your leg? |
I think if I were to get a sleeve I would have to get it on the opposite side, it'd definitely look a bit too heavy on one side if I were to get a sleeve on my right arm too. Unless I get two sleeves.. tattoo itch is so real right now |
