I book at te beginning of August for yesterday's appointment so like a 2 month wait? Anyways te sternum is such a sensitive spot I'm glad is over lol.

my wifes cousin, done my sleeve which has pics on there, my wifes half sleeve and we r super happy, hes working out of Clear hair salon on Burrard st called Hidden Gem Tattoos

haha his wife works in salon so they had extra room there so he decided to help the salon out, hes actually doing tour in toronto where he is from and has owned multiple shops there and is honestly one of the best artists out there!

lol mayo from birthmark tattoo is working out of a hair salon too... he does amazing work, no outlines, all freehanded, he should really update his portfolio tho..

so boys and girls i'm stoked, i have my session with James Acrow on Saturday for my portrait!

If an artist isn't interested in doing your piece, they usually don't reply. Guys like acrow go through 100 emails a day. They aren't not writing back because they are cocky, they are not writing back because they'd have no time to actually tattoo if they responded to every person to say no. Don't take it personally.

Different photos/portrait work will all have varying degrees of difficulty depending on size, photo detail etc. Maybe he just saw the other guys and thought it would be a better finished product by him, and didn't see his best work in yours. I do agree though after the second time, it would be reasonable for him to respond. Its not like its a live, love, laugh tattoo on your foot.

I still want him to do my piece because I haven't seen work that is comparable to his yet. It's new school, but its extremely clean. It's detailed but also not at the same time if you know what I mean.

I really like Acrow's work too but I have given up on reaching him. Its quite frustrating i'm not sure if my emails are not reaching him or my ideas isn't good enough. I don't even get an automated reply =\ I have had a lot easier time getting response with bigger names in the states and Europe than this guy.

Went instagram creeping few days ago and I discover a few Canadian artist that does similiar style of new school stuff like Acrow.
