Genko is the king of new school in Japan right now. He is going to be on the next episode of Gypsy Gentleman, I can't wait!

I was actually very close to getting work from him, unfortunately the timing didn't work out on short notice when I was in Nagoya :(

Agree with you on the breasts. Everything else is fine and classic, IMO. Tattoos only need to be perfectly accurate if they are certain styles, IMO. Portraits, new school, you want to be accurate as hell. As long as it's not sloppy, classic old school tattoos can be a bit... inaccurate :)

If u look ip classic pin up tattoos , this is what they are supposed to look like , u have to remember , 50+ yeats ago this was the "cutting edge" for a tattoo and now its copied by true lovers of that period

congrats on a beautiful piece! fuck im feening for more ink SOOOOOOOO BAD

westopher 01-12-2013 02:06 PM

I need to get my arm finished now, but need to go back to edmonton for that. Once one piece is done though I already think about the next. It is addicting in such a weird way. Also I'd like to add, if anyone is interested in getting work done from Justin Ormiston, I can't say enough good things about getting work done from him. He's super professional, and we went hard every session. The gun doesn't stop. To add to all that, being really talented and a really nice guy made the whole experience awesome.

Lots of good work on this board. I agree with how addicting tattoos become, it's been over a year and a half since i got a barong on my ribs in Bali and can't wait to get my next one.

threezero 01-12-2013 10:49 PM

I dont think I have gone more than 3 month without going under the needle for the past 2 years, addictive is an understatement lol. going in for a rib session with jesse strong next week. fixing up some old work, excited and nervous at the same time. ribs seriously sucks

I was in Hawaii for 12 days, tanned as fuck, came home and went to my tattoo appointment 5 days later. My back where i was tattoo'd peeled like i have never seen. I had zero scabbing just alot of skin peeling. It was white skin and didn't seem like any of the ink was peeling off. I wonder once its healed if it won't be as dark. Anyone have any similar experiences?

phantom x 01-17-2013 08:40 AM

U should be ok , the skin that peeled was gonna come off anyways

This was my first tattoo, picture is a few years old from shortly after it was finished. Ryan Halter did it in two sessions, outline and then shading. Only took around 3 - 3 1/2 hours to complete and hasn't faded at all.

phantom x 01-19-2013 11:02 AM

3 hours for both knees !,.. crap this hurt like mad !!!

Now I'm starting to get nervous, I'm flying down to Vegas on Saturday to get my sleeve started with Robert Pho. It will be my first tattoo and its going to be a full 8 hour session... well probably closer to 7 including breaks and sketching time.

westopher 01-20-2013 11:09 PM

Oh man. I hope you have some oxys or percocets you can bring. I have friends who have done 8, but I couldn't make it past 5 I don't think, and thats with almost 40 hours under my belt so far. Not to discourage you, but be mentally prepared, and don't drink the night before.

dlo 01-20-2013 11:59 PM

Holy smoke sum weed or sum shit nigga, 8hr is a lot... But first time getting ink is the easiest IMo, all friends had a breeze lol, pop sum pillz and ull be good to go

Don't get blaze up before you go, it will make it worst. Been there done that.

dlo 01-21-2013 12:41 AM

VR6GTI 01-21-2013 09:39 AM

8hrs for a sleeve shouldn't be that painful. My issue is more of me getting bored and my ADD going wild. 5hrs saturday on my back.

phantom x 01-21-2013 09:51 AM

Iv done about 8hours on my arm , not to bad but i felt i was in a kind of a daze
