I think teachers had to go to the dept head to get an override. But they have to be able to let you in (desire/dept rules?) before they go talk to the dept head. Which course(s) are you waiting for anyway?

Waitlisted for Communications which is 1st now, and also for ENG 1127 which is 3rd and still in the same spot. Idk it doesn't look likely I'll make it in that class

I need that last course for my student loans and to get a stupid upass. Fml this is my worst semester and most hectic one. Even my first semester at Langara was better

So I never paid my tuition in mid-August and the school never dropped me from my courses when the emails they said they would if I didn't pay by the cut-off time. I just assumed that they followed their word and I would be dropped.

Fast-forward to a few days ago, I get an email about late tuition fees. The fuck? Apparently I was still registered in my courses so I quickly dropped them and I'm on the hook for like $150. Fuck this, sent them an email and I'm going to call tmrw.

I ain't paying for shit.

I'm in her class right now too! I had 1100 with her last year and I never touched the textbook, but that was 1100 and it was super easy.

She has a lot of content on the powerpoint slides and she goes through a lot in lectures, so I THINK you'd be okay without the textbook if you're one of those people that really pay attention and take lots of notes; I'm not one of those people, so i got the textbook :D and so far I have actually been using it to help me do the worksheets lol. Also if you're in hkin, i believe you'll use the book again for 1191??

Has anyone ever had busm1100 with wilkins? This is my first class with her and I'm sort of scared because I don't know her expectations since her class is heavily based on group work.

Groupwork is easy when you get a good team together. Try to stalk the class for good teammates. It's pretty obvious sometimes lol.

^ The Group work I'm not worried about. Me and this other chick can quarterback it, it's just the mid-terms and final I'm worried about because the prof's BUSM 1100 reviews and her BUSM 2200 reviews vastly contrast each other.

Erin? She's chill as heck. =p She's an events planner and Special Events Panning is her main course. She's more of a planner than a teacher if anything so her expectations aren't crazy academic as long as it's good.

What Tsundere said. She's awesome! Didn't take busm1100 with her, did 2200... and it was very straightforward. She gave us handouts before each exam with the topics on them. No surprises, very fair. For the group work we did, as long as it doesn't look like it was put together last minute, you'll do well. Like having your lines rehearsed and not constantly reading off a paper during presentations. Side note, I have a feeling for self evaluation she gives you what you write down....
