Suns let this slip away. They were up and blew it in the 2nd quarter. |
Monty called a questionable TO between the Giannis free throw and decided to not call TO in the booker last possession. This is the second straight game where the Suns can’t even put a shot up in the last possession. Credit to the Bucks though. They played very well. |
Milwaukee looking strong, wanting to win it at home. Damn ... Giannis at like 47 pts already with more than 3 mins to go! Guy is going to break 50! Man if Phoenix loses ... how do you lose 4 in a row. After game 2 ... it looked like it was going to be CP3's time. update ... it's over! Bucks win ... congrats to the Greek freak! |
Bucks Win! |
WE DID IT! POGGERS |
Giannis channeled Steve Nash today, he was like 17-18 from the line. Ben, take notes son. Monster performance from the MVP, he deserved it. I was rooting for the Suns, but ain't even mad. |
The Official NBA thread MVP! MVP! Giannis with 50 points! Dominant offence and defence from the Greek Freak. Congrats to the Bucks! NBA Champs. Happy for the Bucks fans. Their first championship since 1971. Sixty five thousand fans cheering in the Deer District tonight. LUL Good to see long time team mates Giannis and Khris Middleton celebrate a championship with their team mates in home court. Jrue Holiday’s great defence on Booker and CP3 was also a big factor in the Finals. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...decceffd60.jpg Look at Giannis’ performance compared to other legendary NBA players in the Finals: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5f6c73578d.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Reminds me of the Canucks, up 2-0 and let it slip LMAO LOL. Too much 1 vs 1 ball, Booker ain't no Kobe/MJ. Turnovers and insane defense on Booker. Crowder missed so many wild open 3's and Ayton non existence defense, Giannis was a beast that kept attacking. As much as I wanted the Suns to win this, Bucks showed up tonight and got the job done. |
The Official NBA thread https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7b4ebe9bc1.jpg Giannis joins elite company at 26 years old. I respect Giannis for showing humility and being committed to winning a championship with the team that drafted him. Loyalty to a team paid off for him. Giannis said in the post game conference that he could have joined a super team, and do his part to win a championship. Then he said that winning a championship with one team is the hard way, and in the end the right way to win a championship. Respect for the Finals MVP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What a terrible take on my part, Giannis and the Bucks did it, the man is a true freak. You know what's insane though? There's only what, 400-500 spots in the NBA? To make it into the NBA, only a tiny fraction of players will ever make it, the Antetokounmpo family have 3 brothers playing in the NBA. An already crazy stat in itself. Break it down further, what percentage of players get a championship ring in the NBA? All 3 brothers have one now When you think about those odds, that's fucking crazy. |
From bottom to the top, Giannis worked his way ground up. Never gave up and believed in himself to achieve his dreams. Respect to that. No shortcuts, no super-team. |
The Official NBA thread Respect for Giannis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
And to hear about his upbringing, at 18 years old his family was completely broke. It's hard not to like this guy. Respect. |
The Official NBA thread Giannis’ IG Live video at Chick Fil-A is awesome. LUL We need a Chick Fil-A in the Lower Mainland. I hope the Bucks repeat as champions next season so that Giannis can maybe get free Chick Fil-A for life. LUL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
The half sprite half lemonade is a pro move. |
https://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article...ckbuster-deal/ Westbrick joins the Lakers. The Los Angeles Lakers are acquiring star guard Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards in a multi-piece blockbuster deal, according to multiple reports. Per The Athletic's Shams Charania, L.A. will receive Westbrook, a 2024 second-round pick, and a 2028 second-round pick in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell and tonight's No. 22 pick. ^ have to keep up with the Jones (Harden, Durant, and Irving). |
I don't know how I feel about that, apparently they were in a deal for Buddy Hield too. That would have been a better fit. Lakers need more shooters, and Russ is not it. The dream would have been to add Lowry and Derozan as rumoured. |
The Official NBA thread Lowry leaves the Raptors to sign with Miami. Lowry signs a three year contract for 90 million as per ESPN. Props to the greatest Raptor for all time. He played for T.O. For nine seasons. The 35-year-old leaves the Raptors after leading the most successful on-court stretch in franchise history, highlighted by winning the 2019 NBA championship. The six-time all-star guided the Raptors to the playoffs in seven consecutive seasons from 2013-20 after the team had reached the post-season only five times in its first 18 seasons. As for K-Low’s good friend Jimmy Butler: The Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler are expected to agree to a four-year, $184-million max contract, according to Shams Charania and Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic. Oh my ... good for Kyle but honestly, do you think he's a $30M/yr player for the next 3 years ... I don't. |

I agree. Good for Lowry. He is getting over paid as a Miami player for a 35 year old though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Lakers loading up too. They just picked up Carmelo and Monk. |
^ not sure if that constitutes loading up ... they already did with 3rd big name ... Westbrook. Recycling Dwight Howard ... we'll see how this group of Senior Citizens later on the season and into playoffs. |
