If your crying about 20 bucks, then how much do you spend while your in there? 10 bucks? In other words, your either broke or a cheap ass.

How about this, if 20 bucks is that much of a dent in your pocket, i'll give you 20 bucks next time so you can skip the line.

You need to get out more. I wouldn't pay $20 cover for any club in Vancouver after you've been to clubs like in Seattle, SF, LA, and especially Vegas. The clubs in the US makes the Vancouver scene look pathetic.

Wow....fucking mr big shot here LOL. :gtfo:. I dont mind the $20 cover. But why the fuck would I want to pay off the bouncer to skip a line when there's not even suppose to be a line. When you get into the club w/lines they are usually not even half full.

20 bucks is nothing to cry home about but i'd rather give my 20 to the promoters who put on the event than to leave it with the door man.

thats true. but most promoters have no pull on busy nights.

It's not that i find myself baller, I just rather not spend 30-40 mins or more waiting in line for 20 bucks.

Ax2-Y 04-13-2009 08:56 PM

i cant speak for everyone on here, but when i complained about the pricing above, it was more about the principle of paying for more than you are getting. I am not broke, and i definately do not consider myself cheap.

as for paying $20 to get in.. sure its not a lot when you are on your own trying to meet up with people already inside... but when you are with a group.. and 20 each turns into 100+ to get in.. thats alot of potential drinks that could have been bought... or atleast several pitchers and a couple plates of fries at cafe crepe :)

Music they play is trash, cover is a jack, and all the douches you encouter (security gaurds, other people waiting to get into the club, promoters themselves) just not make it even worth it anymore. All that combined with the the bitchy/stuck up gold digger girls is a lose lose situation. I'll pick a house party over a club anyday

ooh wee i love house parties too
especially when there are fresh faces u can mingle with

Make sure you hit up Tao, LAX, and Pure. I cannot stress how f'n good the DJ's are in Vegas and they're mostly Asians too. If you're lucky, try and catch the promoters outside of the club earlier in the day. Some will be handing out passes/free cover for that particular night.

yeah, the point was you shouldn't have to be waiting 30-40 mins to get into a half-empty club in the first place. i see no reason for half-mile lineups at 11pm... but what do i know.

BlackV62K2 04-13-2009 09:49 PM

Yeah....you can score VIP passes pretty easily in Vegas if you walk around the strip or even before the club opens just outside the hotel. Just dont get it from the people that charge you for the passes. Some of them just want a tip. Which isnt bad because they hook you up with VIP passes to a bunch of clubs.

You go to other clubs, people are there to have fun, even for the people that are trying to get ass, both men and women enjoy the game, here in Vancouver...you'll just get the cold shoulder if you even tap on their shoulder and tell them they dropped something.

going for the atmosphere and fun = win. having a couple drinks and loosening up, then being on the dance floor given 'er is the best. the girls that dress like hoes for the attention and the guys who are just looking for fights start to ruin it.

when the bouncer goes beyond patting you down is wierd as fuck too :(

:werd: I went to this club in seattle called Premier. That club made all the clubs in vancouver look like shit. Atmosphere is so different as well. Everyone was friendly and just wanted to party, the girls in the seattle had no problem walking up and talking to you. Down here you look at someone wrong and they wanna fight.

racial profiling lol

the 3am rule really does sux big time.....but other than that the crowds aren't any better...it's either honger filled with UBC/SFU events.....or snob/gangsters filled.....

I had more fun clubbing in Victoria.....at least everyone knows everyone....haha~

$50 to get drunk? lol
I WISH!

The whole $30 to get in is dumb too. A while back I was thinking of heading to Ibiza. Looking at prices for a couple bucks more than what you pay out here you get into a better club with 3 or 4 world class dj's playing.

Right now they should be lowering prices and drink prices. All the clubs are moving over to barwatch which means no gangsters. Those are the people that will be spending money. The people running the clubs see that less people are coming out so instead of lowering prices they keep raising prices.
I know a couple of bartenders and all of them say they are making like half as much money as they used to.

you need to travel more, your perception is very wrong

I agree, Clubs in Vegas are simply incredible.. however, sort of the same thing happens down there especially at busier clubs (PURE,Tao) where bouncers will request a grease amount to get you in.

When I am in Vegas I always do bottle service with my friends, the experience and fun you'll have cannot be beat.

I've been there a few times with this redhead I'm seeing, (she's Bi). Its pretty good there, but they love to pack the place. Something about feeling the dance floor move isn't very promising, lol.

I think as you grow older, the less appealing clubbing appears to you. Plus having to deal with the younger gangster wannabes there just makes it worse.

Problem is, the moment a club changes names, everyone flocks there. There's clubs/lounges that are geared toward the more mature crowd and less teeny-boppers that are good with some douches but very little or no wangsters in sight.

I agree, I don't buy drinks to get some chicks attention.

My buddy and I were in Portland for a night and went clubbing, we ended up picking up 2 groups of chicks without buying any alcohol. 1 group was 3 nammers and the other were 2 white chicks (Hooter girls to boot as well)
Sure they were american girls, but lets face it, with the snobby ass girls here, we'd be hard press to pick up 5 girls in 1 wknd of clubbing let alone 1 night.

One of the many perks ;)

I love it when you want them to go (if they aren't being friendly etc), just tell the bouncer... he'll just say "Ladies, you got to go" lol the look on their faces...

I was lowballing for the lightweights, you can easily spend $100 in a night and not get drunk (that can be fixed depending on the price of 151 and such though)
