now I always start off a clubbing/pubbing night at a place called Tonics as it's the only place I know I can get a shot of 151 for $5.50 (not sure if thats a standard price for it or not). If I've eaten a lot 2 shots and I should be good for a bit haha.

I went to Tonic with a few buddies after seeing Chris Rock at the Orpheum. I think it was on a thursday, it was only $11 cover but wen we went in, there was only one group of 3 guys in the whole place, so we just said fuck it and ended up at the #5 :jizz:
Tonic also seemed very small and narrow, almost felt as if the place is closing in on me. does ne1 know wat goes on upstairs?

Also ive heard rumours that taking straight shots of 151 can do damage to your stomach....this true or not?

Clubbing in Vancouver is horrible, in fact it is a known thing about Vancouver when people visit here. This is why I've stopped clubbing in Vancouver for quite some time now, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere, or take a vacation.

The affect, I actually like 151 better than most other shots. Just don't drink anything that will make you burp before the 151, grossest burps ever I swear.

it's 151 proof so 75.5% alcohol, as long as your stomach isn't empty I don't think it's that bad compared to say multiple shots of a lower % alcohol.

I was once crazy enough to go to Shark Club in Langley, the place was NOT happening for me, so I went up to the bar and asked for a shot of 151. They told me that they were not allowed to serve it to me as a shot and told me I had to mix it. So they gave me a Rocky Mtn Bear Fucker...I don't know how many I had but I was NOT feeling it. Watered down shit...BAH.

So any tips for vegas? My friend told me its pretty hard for a guy to get in.

I paid like $11 for a drink at Republic that came with not a drop of booze. It was a double JD and coke and it was all coke. When I asked for my JD, they told me to stop whining and that I got JD in it.



I think the Vancouver bar scene is mostly alright, it's the people that make it so shitty. Vancouverites are a bunch of douchebags and whores.

first clubbin experience is in Vancouver. all of the negatives already mention means i pretty much dunt go anymore unless for frd's party or something.

LKF HK is where's at now for me. I go back every few months anyways. the crowd is awesome, the girls are not so snobby, i can actually mingle with local and tourist alike without wannabe gangster trying to act tough. little to no line up even when i went on new years eve.

and best of all i'm not force to drive drunk home becuz of ridiculous taxi rate if i live far from the club, there is always overnight public transportation.

I'm surprised the skytrain isn't open 24/7 on the weekend. In Stockholm, starting on Friday-Sun, the trains are running 24/7. These are operated by people too. I dont understand why an automated system like the Skytrain cant stay open 24/7 at least on the weekend.

Granted there are gates in Stockholm where you have to swipe your pass. But it can be easily hoped over too. Anyways, this will prevent people to drink and drive. Skyride ride to Surrey + a cab back home would be less than $20. A cab ride home from DT to Surrey is $60+.

What clubs are good in HK? I really didn't like HK for clubbing, pretty inflated prices and it wasn't that good.
