Depends on who we're going to play against them with. With our Moose plugs yeah, that would suck.

But if by any miracle we replaced them with a duo of either Gaborik, Heatley or Hossa, then no, i wouldn't worry about playing against them at all.

i cant think of anyone on top of my head who are scarier duo than the sedin that does full strength power play and penalty killing

datsyuk/zetterberg dont count cuz they dont play with each other full in all situatuions

In_MODeration 06-28-2009 11:32 AM

from reading all the posts on this thread, it sounds like the majority of you are in favor of getting rid of the sedins

Crosby and Malkin.
Ovechkin + anyone half decent

woob 06-28-2009 12:05 PM

If I met the hypothetical duo of Chara and Pronger in a dark alley, I'd be scared.

Tim Budong 06-28-2009 12:06 PM

i support them twins
bring em here
we can roll two big lines
fuck

woob 06-28-2009 12:07 PM

Not because of a lack of offense though. It's because they have huge defficiencies in other areas of their team.

I wouldn't regard it as being in favour of. I think everyone is on board with Mike Gillis when by first and foremost, if there is a chance to trade up from the Sedins, why not pursue the chance.

But if not, might as well stay with the Sedins.

It appears Gaborik has bought a home in Vancouver.

EDIT: It appears it is a rumor.

Yeah...their D and goaltending is so incredibly weak. I think Lukas Krajicek ended up being one of their top pairing D  You can probably switch Crosby and Malkin with Lecavalier/St.Louis and TB still wouldn't have finished much higher last year.

crosby malkin dont always play on same line or all situations, where as the sedins never split up

pure.life 06-28-2009 01:47 PM

Our 7th round pick (Steven Anthony) might turn up to be a gem if he fixes his consistency.

LOL

First off, the sedins play maybe the last 20 seconds of the PK...or use Hank to win faceoffs. I wouldnt call them full fledged PKers.

Second of all, Getzlaf & Perry, Ovechkin Backstrom, etc. I don't think you were quite using the top of your head.

And playing with each other full in all situations is nothing to boast about. Someone said it before: the Sedins are like tits...what the fuck are you going to do with just one of them.

Hondaracer 06-28-2009 06:00 PM

^ so what? theyre suppose to get first PP minutes as well as first PK minutes and play in all situations outside of that?

not even datsyuk does that on a consistant basis.

If Gillis can some how manage to ice two decent scoring lines then I don't mind seeing the twins go. Cause we've all seen how far we can get with just one scoring line.

i personally want to see a change.
