Things like that should be an automatic ban from the NHL.

There is absolutely no need for that kind of play. Any player that tries to deliberately injure another player in what could be a career ending move should be kicked out of the NHL indefinitely. I don't care if you're an all star player or if you're a fringe 4th liner.

Doing dirty hits like that is not something that should be seen anywhere in hockey.

Agree 100% and what's just as sad is I have ZERO faith in CC doing the right thing about it.

out of all the play-by-play guys that cbc has, Jim Hughson is probably the best. I love the work that he did, when he was with the Canucks during his Sportsnet days. In Vancouver we are very privileged to have the likes of John Shorthouse to fill in the spot that Jim Hughson left.
